Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Close to the bus station. Clean. No street noise but I could hear other guests. Wifi worked well! Close to the Archeological Museum, which is quite worth the visit. Restaurants, bars, and groceries nearby.

The showers and occasionally other aspects of the plumbing can sometimes be a bit too eccentric.
It is cosy, quirky and has all you need. Including a fridge and microwave. Staff are very nice and friendly. It would be very hard to beat at the price. It is less than 10 minutes walk from the bus station and has a supermarket - mercadona - 2 minutes walk away. It’s pretty much bang in the centre of town.

The public microwave needs to be desperately cleaned! So much gunk burned on under the glass plate that is hardly turns. Need a shelf in the bathroom to put toiletries on as there isn't a counter around the sink.
Comfortable beds, good hot water pressure, a little of everything you need. Quiet at night. Space to put opened suitcases too.

Room was very small. I would have preferred a room to the front/street but probably should have requested that when I booked. A kettle would have been nice.
Staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. We received a lovely welcome. The location of the property, so close to the bus/train stations was a real bonus. Arrival/departure times were fab. Loved being on the first floor as I don't like heights. Good that there is a fridge and microwave in the common area.

The staff were lovely, the hotel is good for the price and ‘quirky’. It is in a really convenient central location, 10 minutes to the main bus station on foot and about 20 to the bay area

The bar below the hotel is noisy late at night, especially over the weekend.

Although they were signs that no smoking was allowed in the property, the whole place smelled like cigarette smoke… Also the shower door in my room was broken, with tape over the crack, and there was some mold .
The location was perfect for my trip. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable and clean. The place in general was very clean.

1. Spanish pillows - thick, not what I'm used to. Problem generally, for me, so not particular to this hostal. 2. Quieter rooms on side and at back, not front (street facing), which I was given despite request for quiet room.
Location close to rail/bus links. 5-15 min walk from tourist venues. Plenty of restaurants and cafés nearby. Friendly staff. Good facility overall.

We could have done with a few more power outlets in the room. Parking at this particular place wasn't free, and we had bad luck as all the spots reserved for the hostel were completely book for Christmas Eve.
The staff were super nice and the hotel was placed in a good area. Television and air conditioning were available, which isn't always the case in hostels. The room had all the amenities we needed.

Very basic - comfortable but ocer priced. Little sound proofing between rooms - could hear everyone's conversations. Not really a 'station hostel' - still a 5 - 10 minute walk from station.
