Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe front of house really let everyone down - no warm smiling faces rather looked like we were interrupting their work - such a pity I think more customer service training is definitely needed. Room could have been better lit but I guess it is a heritage site. The mastic in the shower was going mouldy and there were white paint splatters on the inside of the bathroom door - little things really
We had walk the Ingles Camino so this was our treat. The location was perfect not too far from anywhere. The breakfast was amazing, the service there was superb. The porters were so helpful and friendly.

United KingdomAs the oldest hotel/parador, it is very grand and atmospheric. It is expensive but worth it for the experience. The location is exceptional. We did half board to be able to eat in the fancy restaurant at night, and there were plenty of excellent dishes. Breakfast is in a more rapid environment. If you come by car, you have to drive carefully into the main square and stop outside the hotel entrance. Tell Reception and they come to get your luggage and then they drive your car to their parking.

NetherlandsSmall issue- coffee pad in hot water??? Is that really fitting in an expensive hotel? Expect better than that!
The location is excellent and the history is really amazing. Had a lovey dinner in the restaurant- impressive to sit there.

NetherlandsThe noise, see above, especially where I explicitly asked for a quiet room when I booked (weeks in advance).
Location is brilliant. Room very large. I asked for a quiet room, but in this 5-star hotel I complained about the noise above our head. There is a space for the staff were they made very loud noice that only stopped after I filed the complaint at midnight. Ridiculous for a 5-star hotel.

IrelandThere’s nothing to not like.
The ambiance, one could not help but feel and sense the exceptional history of this amazing location. The careful and meticulous restoration of this unique building is nothing short of miraculous. I could sense the pilgrims and their carers in the tranquil courtyards. The staff were so pleasant and helpful. A wonderful experience.

United KingdomThere is nothing to dislike!
The location was perfection. It is on the main square at the end of the Camino. I loved the historical grandeur of the hotel and the inner courtyard was beautiful. The rooms were tastefully appointed and reflected the history of the place. The rooms was large and very comfortable. I slept so well in the cozy bed. My room had a view onto the courtyard which was peaceful and serene. We enjoyed drinks from the bar and sat in the comfortable lounge. The sangria was deliciouis and so was the rich and delightful hot chocolate. Please try both! We had dinner out as we wanted to eat early and get to bed after finishing the Camino. The breakfast was the best I have ever experienced! The selection was heavenly! The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful and seemed proud of their hotel and their city. I will certainly return to this hotel.

United KingdomIt was noisy as we were close to the lift, and there was a noise above us most of the night,? Heating system. Not enough tea bag’s etc, we asked for more and were told we would have to use room service for more. This seemed odd compared to the lavish breakfast on offer.
Breakfast was fantastic, huge range on offer, staff very good. Great location next to cathedral square, very atmospheric.
