Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

FinlandThe service at rooftop bar (outside the breakfast time) is slow. The service staff are fine with a single exception. Once of the waitresses was discriminating. We didn't complain about her because it wasn't worth our time. The 3rd floor rooms are below the rooftop bar. The bar is very crowded from evenings to midnights and you'll hear constant squeaky noise of moving furniture, loud laughs and drunk folks singing nonsense. The rooms are also right next to an old church that uses an old massive bell to announce time from early morning to late night. So if you're a light sleeper or have a kid with you, the location or at least the 3rd floor might not be the best option. The hotel rules recommend quite time from midnight officially which is not ideal for people who need quite time during nights.
We had a "Superior Triple Room" in this place. The cleanliness of the place is great. They kindly clean every day and do a great job at it too. Breakfasts at the rooftop bar was included. The breakfast has enough variety of fruit, drinks, coffee, pastry and snacks/meat. The view of the mountain and the castle atop it is amazing. The reception is friendly and helpful. They communicate using WhatsApp and quickly respond. The hotel location is ideal. Walking distance away from the city center, the old town, many attractions, the beach and many restaurants.

HungaryOur stay at this well-located property was a delight. Its central position made exploring the city easy and enjoyable. The rooms were clean, and the breakfast was delicious, with a variety of choices that changed regularly. The highlight was the stunning view from the breakfast area on the top floor, making every morning special. We appreciated the practical amenities such as luggage storage available both before check-in and after check-out, and the communal showers and toilets on the ground floor were perfect for freshening up after a day out. The staff were friendly and always ready to help, adding to the overall positive experience of our stay. Although the property is in a busy area and soundproofing is minimal, the noise level was manageable and did not detract significantly from our comfort. Overall, we highly recommend this accommodation for anyone looking for a convenient and comfortable stay in the heart of the city.

United KingdomThe room was far too big for me but I wanted a fridge & somewhere to possibly cook as I was travelling on my own & find eating out in the evening quite daunting. This meant that I had to book an apartment so it had another room with twin beds (unused) and the dining area was also the kitchen so the TV was situated there. I prefer the TV in the bedroom as I can relax on the bed in the evening & watch something while I have a beer. In hindsight I should have just booked a double room but you simply don't know how the rooms are laid out until you get there. The staff on reception were really rude, sadly which spoilt my trip. The person I met on arrival (and another lady I had a very brief conversation with the day before I left) were both lovely but the others were either cold, standoffish or downright rude. I was tutted & sighed at by one in particular when I came down to ask what time the rooms were generally cleaned as I had come back mid-afternoon to mine not having been cleaned (whereas the day before it was done in the morning). I asked really nicely as I am a typical Brit when it comes to manners. He sighed & asked for my room number but I couldn't remember exactly as it was made up of both letters & numbers. at that point he tutted & I apologised, I simply explaining that I just needed some fresh towels, rather than the room cleaned. He made me feel like I was being a nuisance & I went away feeling really rubbish. Not good customer service at all when you are made to feel bad just for asking a question politely.
The location was fabulous as it right next to the Basilica Santa Maria and the MACA. The rooftop was stunning & I enjoyed sitting up there when I wanted to relax & read my book in a sunny spot with a gorgeous view of Santa Barbara Castle. The bed was so comfy & I slept well (also helped by the fact I walked miles, exploring the city & all the delights Alicante had to offer!

United KingdomThe big disadvantage is that the walls and doors are not soundproofed. You can literally hear everything. Additionally, behind the wall of my room there was a laundry room (?) where late at night there were noises that disturbed my sleep.
Hotel is located near to the most of area Fiona nad also a few mins walk from the beach. Hotel rooms are spacious and clean.

United KingdomMore staff on the roof top bar, waiting time to be served was not acceptable. Understandably it was Spanish Father’s Day, so extra staff should have been available, only one person serving and making lots of drinks. The staff were rushed off their feet and apologised. A little disappointing.
