It was late March, cool evenings and damp from rain. The room in the evening was a bit cool but there were lots of extra blankets and the beds were cozy enough. Heat was on in the morning.

Everything was great, especially the host Ara! Views and sound of the raging water was an unexpected pleasant surprise. Close to the beach and only a short walk from the train station as well as the old part of town. The hostess made sure we were well educated, gave us hints where to go and where to eat. She even called us a cab when we were departing and helped our luggage. She kept full contact and was available 24/7 if required for any issues.

It’s very basic, obviously the view is everything. But still, I imagine if I were a host I would invest a bit in at least cleaning the room so it’s not filthy wallpapers. No AC in the room, if it’s hot, you open the window but then it gets quite noisy since there’s the street in between the place and the beach. Not so comfortable for us as a family as the bed was very tiny. The towel I didn’t use, it just didn’t look clean to me. Was also sad to find out there was no parking available so we ended up paying around 30€ extra and all of this only to spend the night and drive further the next day. I guess it just wasn’t quite worth it for us and our goals. Could be better for others

Nothing. However you should know the following: Prices in San Sebastian are high in summer times. So don't expect a hotel at this rate but a simple, friendly family run accommodation which is located on the first floor of a traditional nice apartment house. Parking is only possible at an underground car park around the corner at 26€ for 24 hours.

Good location in the district "Gros". The surfer spot Zurriola beach is just across the street and it is also nice for sun bathing. Very friendly host with perfect communication. Lots of restaurants and bars just around the corner which seem more local than the ones at Playa de la Concha in San Sebastian downtown. Nice jogging path from here to Playa de la Concha.

Perfect location, you cross the street and you're on the beach (best beach for surfing in San Sebastian). Friendly host lady (Ara). Old school style bedding, exactly something you would expect in a pension.

The pension is located at the popular surfet beach. We had a nice room with a beautiful view over the ocean. Our room was quiet spacious, the shared bathrooms were clean everyday. Also we’ve got new towels everyday. Felt like home.
