Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The beds did not feel very private as too some hostels make them in shared rooms. People did not care if you where asleep too when they arrived back at the room (in the middle of the night), the rooms are right next to the common area and it’s nosy 24/7. The staff did not do a good job to inform about arrangements of the hostel, it wasn’t so welcoming as to other hostels can be. There was a horribly cold air condition that was centrally controlled and we could not turn it off, it got really cold in the rooms.
Breakfast was ok, pool on the roof was great,

We just wished there was a curtain or some sort of divider for your bed for a bit of privacy.
We loved how social the hostal was, we met awesome people. There is a very nice bar and lounge area. Highly recommend.

Breakfast option could have been better may be. For 4euros breakfast there were not much options available but not much to expect at that price anyway! Just want to give a heads up to other travellers that dont expect much in breakfast options at 4 euros.
Location is quite good ! markets nearby where shops open till late night too. Rooms are decent enough for a few nights doesnt matter much. what else you can expect in a hostel! the common areas are very nice and clean.

The common area had leaks on the roof. The room and kitchen can feel a bit cramped as well. This is very specific to me (and maybe other digital nomads), but I felt like there wasn't much room to work, there are 3 good spaces in the common area and that's it.
The WiFi was great and there's always someone at reception to help with anything (for example the cards not working, which happens sometimes) and they gave me very good recommendations. Happy hour at the bar in the 3rd floor is a good time to meet people. The common area and rooftop are spacious.

The room wasn't large but it's fine for a few days; a few hangers in the room could make it more functional.
Excellent location, very central (attractions of the historic center, restaurants and bars, bus station); the necessary services are guaranteed and well organized (24 hour reception, bar, luggage storage, common areas, wi-fi, soap, towels, hairdryer); Helpful staff.

One of the beds in female only room was placed perpendicular to the wall and because it was quite open and because of it I didn’t feel very safe on the top. However when I went and asked to be moved to a different one the guy at the reception and the following night they have moved me to the bottom one, which I really appreciated.
The location was great, each room has separate bathroom which was very convenient. The staff was really nice, the breakfast very tasty. They also let you keep your bags before it’s time to check in for free. I did the tour that is organised by the hostel and it was amazing. The tour guide Carmen was very knowledgeable and I loved the way she was explaining things. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Seville.

A bit uncomfortable climbing the top bed, heating system was blowing air straight on us (when on bed) so a bit uncomfortable. Poor breakfast.

The location is the best you can walk to all the landmarks of the city. The staff were really nice and helpful.
