Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Not everyone at the reception speaks English, but the check-in worked without a lot of language. It's Important to know, that the breakfast is in another hotel close by

The breakfast could be improved, as there weren't any vegetables, for example and the variety of other things was the same every day, too.
Staff was very friendly and nice, location was also good, near to Maria Zambrano train station. Room and bathroom were clean.

Good location close to cafes. A short walk to the city centre. Bed was very comfortable and the rain shower was really nice.

Probably the prices were higher because it was Easter week-end, but more than 100 euros per night for a two-star hotel is expensive. Also: the hotel offers a 'shuttle' service from the airport (30 euros) and from the cruise terminal (25 euros). With a 'normal' taxi, I paid only 8 euros from the hotel to the cruise terminal! Other thing I didn't like: It was cold in the room. Even when I tried to go the thermometer going higher, it did'nt change. And: there is a lift in the hotel, but before reaching the lift, you have to take some eight of ten stairs! With the luggage, not easy. Plus: There is no breakfast room in the hotel, to have a breakfast you have to go 100m away.
The location was great: 10 minutes walk to Maria Zambrano train station, 15 minutes walk to the Cathedral and the old city.

Nothing to dislike
7 minute walk from the bus station, 5 minute walk into the centre of malaga. Perfect location, clean and comfortable and lovely staff

Sound isolation could be better, it was quite loud.
It has a great location, it's close to the train station and walking distance from city centre. Room is very nice, bathroom as well. We were satisfied with brekafast!

I was replied that there is a carpark at the hotel when I asked a couple of hours before we arrived at Malaga; however we found out that there is no space when we arrived:) we had to pay EUR 20 per night for another carpark. Also complimentary water at the room could be fine

The only remark would be that the breakfast is in a different hotel, even though the hotel is like at 2min of distance, very close by. For us it was fine to go there for breakfast.
Hotel very close to the main train station and at 20min of walk from Malaga's city center. The room was good, the beds are comfortable and the room was nicely clean. The pictures are very accurate, expect to find the same as in the pictures. The breakfast was nice.

I hadn’t realised that breakfast was served at the sister hotel a 4 mins walk away - that said, it was closer to the railway station.
Conveniently located for the stations in a quiet street. The front desk always seemed to be staffed, & they let me leave my bag for several hrs after checkout.

All was OK!
Very good hotel! It is rated as 2-star, but in my opinion is above of it. Probably this rate is due to breakfast which is served in another hotel approx. 3-4 mnutes walk away. The surrounding is not very busy, just normal residential, some shops and not so many restaurants. Close to the bus & train stations.
