Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

We loved this place. Arles is magical and staying in this apartment put us right in the middle of the action with all of the space and comforts needed. Bedrooms were great, kitchen well stocked. Great heating and bonus of washing machine was useful. View of Roman theatre and with windows open, music and chatter from the streets - but windows closed ca block out noise. Will be back

Our stay in the apartment was lovely. Our hosts met us at the station which is amazing! The apartment is in a fabulous location, right in the central area of the Old Town, right across from one of the Roman ruins. It's well resourced, spacious, clean and tiny. Our hosts messaged back immediately, and were always on hand to help. Thanks so much for a lovely stay!

Supplies of basics are fairly minimal. Only a few dishwasher tabs, garbage bags etc and you need to provide your own soap.
This apartment is in a great location in the centre of Arles. All facilities are good and AC much appreciated.

Husband is over 1.2m tall so had to watch his head in the bedroom.
Location in the old town made it easy to get to sites and a good starting point for any walk. Apartment was comfortable with a good kitchen. Janneke was very helpful with any query.

Great location - right next to the Roman theatre and arena of Arles. A great host team (2) who met us upon arrival, helped us to find local parking (with a free parking pass during the stay), helped us with our luggages, and gave us a great orientation about the facility and the surrounding neighborhood. They also met us upon checkout too!

Not really a dislike, but if mobility is an issue for you please note that the apartment is accessed via reasonably steep stairs. Car parking, included with the cost, was about 5 mins walk away.
Location, location, location. This is amazingly situated apartment, right in the centre of historic Arles. As well as its stunning outlook over the ancient theatre, it is handy to many restaurants, etc, yet also is peaceful and quiet. Really helpful and friendly advice from Olivia and Lionel too. We loved our three nights here.

Just one suggestion. Have more then one toilet paper. But that was the only one bad impression. The accomodation is perfect

Our accomodation was a true highlight from our stay in Arles. The hosts are amazing, very nice and helpful, and the location is the best. Beside being very well appointed with everything anyone would need (bonus points for a very well equipped kitchen and the parking pass!), the host have prepared a very useful binder with tons of tips about local food and attractions. Arles is a gem of history and culture, and the appartment is the perfect base to explore them all.

Thank you Olivia for waiting since we had missed the turnoff to our meeting point and got lost. Very friendly welcome and because we had a lot of luggage Olivia's husband came as well so we could take our car into the pedestrian area for unloading. Lionel went along in the car to the parking garage and gave lots of valuable information. Apartment du Theatre Antique is a lovely, comfortable, well equipped flat in a fantastic location with a superb view of the Roman remains. When checking out Lionel picked us up and helped us carry our luggage to the car. A big thank you for all your help, quick and easy communication and kindness. We can highly recommend booking this apartment.

No soap or other products supplied and not enough TP. Luckily I was there when someone was cleaning across the hall and was able to get more TP.
