Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomIt's tricky to walk to and from your room in the rain! Although the hotel does provide lovely large umbrellas. It was a long way to the breakfast room and breakfast was a little disappointing after such a great meal the night before. But these are only minor quibbles in what was a lovely stay!
The chateau is gorgeous set amongst vineyards and open countryside. The bedrooms are located alongside the chateau in separate low-level buildings. Our room was spacious with a very nice bathroom and a lovely comfy bed. A highlight of our stay was a wonderful meal in the hotel restaurant. The food was fantastic - fresh produce carefully prepared and exquisitely presented. A particular highlight was our dessert - the best one we have had in a long time!

United KingdomThe air conditioning in the room was great on the ground floor but unfortunately did not reach the bedroom on the mezzanine so it was an uncomfortable sleep. The room itself was like a motel room with no character. The Restaurant outside was situated in a beautiful setting in the courtyard. Unfortunately the food, although beautifully presented, was underwhelming. The entree was bland and the plat of risotto was way too salty.
The Pool was very much welcomed The room was spacious with good bathroom facilities The setting for dinner was gorgeous

United KingdomThere was a large party of relatively young people ( maybe a conference) who dominated the outside bar area which was a pity. On the second day we would have liked to have a simple sandwich lunch but were told that this was not available till after 2pm with no explanation.
Excellent room and general facilities and lovely grounds. Very good dinner on our first night

United KingdomThought charging for using the swimming pool was over the top £40 per use? The restaurant was the most expensive in the area by 100% but the food was no better than some of the smaller more personal restraunts.
The tour of the winery exhibition interesting very professional but lacked personal attention, staff stiff and polite. Visited smaller winery and the attention was fantastic learn't far more.

United KingdomThe beautiful room had the bed on a raised level. In consequence it was necessary to negotiate a short flight of stairs to reach the bathroom downstairs. Which might be difficult for some in the dark at night.
This is a well situated hotel with beautiful grounds and well equipped rooms. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We also enjoyed a swim in the very nice pool. The staff were welcoming and helpful

United KingdomThere are a lot of newer rooms in a separate building to the rear of the main hotel, which look very out of place.... a 1970s sort of design and would not have been happy staying there....
The grounds and the buildings were lovely with some great views.... the rooms at the front of the hotel were great with parking just outside. Dinner was good with the dogs allowed everywhere. Breakfast was self service but good selection

United KingdomProbably me not reading thoroughly enough, but the bedrooms are separate to the chateau in a chalet block. Ok all practical but took away the chateau concept. Bar a bit bland and staff boot faced.
Chalet rooms with easy access. Our bed was up some stairs and on a mezzanine. Good space.

United KingdomNot a fan of the volume of rooms, done in a 70s/80s style presumably to accommodate conferences and weddings. detracts from the charm of the chateau but I guess this is necessary to make it viable.
Convenient location between UK and Italy. Good location for foodies and wine lovers. Dog friendly which helped massively. Beautiful wood and training ground to stretch legs.
