Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaGreat location in a beautiful town. Close to the harbour and restaurants. We stayed in a room in one of the buildings down the street from the main hotel. We were aware that we would be climbing stairs (but wouldn't mind anyway),Parking could be an issue if you are not aware. It is provided by the hotel, but a walk from the hotel. We opted to pay park in the public lot and walk as we had a large car and the streets are narrow (hence the beauty of the town)

United States of America1. Parking is pretty far away 2. We had a triple room ( 2 adults and a 2 years old baby) The room located on 4 th floor up the very difficult narrow staircase. I would definitely NOT recommend this room for travelers with small children or people with any sort of mobility issues. I wish it would have had some sort of note in the description about how difficult it is to get up there
Location is nice. Over all clean and comfortable

United States of AmericaLocation was fantastic and we just happened to be there on market day which was really fun to wander around. Stairs are narrow and difficult to do with baggage so definitely would not recommend to those with mobility issues. The staff was very friendly and spoke great English. Décor was random but didn’t bother me and be aware (it was a bonus for me but depends on the person) some rooms only have tubs and no shower.

United KingdomThe room was average, it looked like we got one of the smaller rooms in the hotel, and the rooms are also in a different building across the road from where you check in. It can be difficult if you have a lot of luggage as the entire area is cobblestones, so it would be good to inform guests where to actually drop their luggage before, which is not where you check in. The check in time is also very late at 5pm. They do this to encourage guests to book through their website where you get a check in time of 4pm. However this seems rather unreasonable and pointless when the room is already available. The same goes for check out, no one came to clean the room for hours after we left the room (I know this as my friend went back to get something she left in her room).
The location of the hotel was great, right in the centre of town and there is free parking less than a 10 minute walk away. The staff are very friendly and helpful and it's great to see an all-female team. The room was clean and warm, with a nice shower. We were also able to leave our luggage after we checked out, and there is also a very small gym available for use.

United KingdomThe location means no car parking, and it can be difficult to short term park nearby for loading/unloading. The decor in the rooms was modern and a bit gauche. The bathroom was exceptionally small and if the toilet had been incorporated rather than in a separate closet would have allowed more space. As I said OK for 1 night.
The hotel is located on the street in the old town. Great for restaurants and sightseeing. The rooms were very comfortable and had everything we needed for 1 night. The staff were lovely and very helpful.
