We did not plan to stay at this hotel. We did it because of an emergency. Special thanks go to very attentive receptionists, who were ready to react to our somehow unique needs.

Took ages to get a (very tasty) drink at the bar. Pool staff were rude and unhelpful. Corridors littered with glasses and room trays that weren’t cleared all day

Room was a lovely big size with huge ceilings and windows. Bed was enormous. Loads of closet and drawers. Hotel was clean and luxurious. Staff very friendly. Pool was lovely. Breakfast was delicious. I mean really one of the best Hôtel breakfast I’ve ever had

was quiet and off season so no shuttle bus to the town which was a shame as didn’t seem too busy to take us the short journey

The only thing which we didn’t wholly like is the cost of the bar drinks. €54 for 3 drinks! I know it’s a beautiful and expensive hotel but the drinks were basic, they weren’t cocktails or exclusive spirits. We also waited for quite a while before being served. So this took the edge off our stay just slightly. But it wouldn’t put me off coming back.

The room was lovely with a really stunning room. We particularly loved the bathroom - really exquisite. The location is fabulous, out of Deauville centre but great for that reason. It felt like a real treat staying there - even if I have to admit I booked this mistakenly, thinking I booked the Barriere in the centre!

the service was friendly, professional the location of this hotel is quiet in the midst of the Normandy countryside and close to a golf course. a shuttle service is available to get easily to downtown.

A little bit far from the beach

Very good facility and service. Even the hotel rating is 4stars, it should be 5 star service hotel. Great value for the price.

now my only problem is it’s a four star hotel but no air conditioner in the entire hotel. I know we are in Normandie but to be in the middle of July in such hot weather and not have an air conditioner is ridiculous. I’ve to to hotels in moscow and Sweden and they all had air conditioners. so I would expect for a four star hotel no matter where it is to have this option.

it’s a beautiful hotel in a peaceful location not to far from the center. the room are amazing spacious and beds super comfortable.

The hotel is understaffed , waiting time can be long. A lot of seminars are being organized at the property and they get the priority as opposed to couples and families. At this price point you would expect more service. Bathroom amenities could be better.

I have been a regular client to the Barriere resort in Deauville, The rénovation of the property has been a great success. I like the zen vibe of the golf while being minutes away from the center. The Executive room is very comfortable with stunning views over the golf and sea.

* Very poor booking experience : after accepting our sea view bookings, hotel called 2 weeks before our arrival to inform us that sea view rooms were not available due to uncompleted work !!!! "Offering" a 10% discount for moving us to a golf view room (of which the rate was lower anyway). After expressing our strong disagreement, hotel increased the "discount" to 20% ! Our request to talk to management was never fulfilled. * no air conditioning in rooms (this is a 4 * hotel claiming to be eligible for 5 * one). * at least a second restaurant would be welcome.

The location is pleasant and... really quiet. Well accommodated breakfast. Nice view (sea view when available).

The breakfast buffet was poor. Super Clean room, but please check towels on (make-up) stains from earlier guests.

Staff/concierge was very friendly and helpfull Beautiful 36H golf course.

Breakfast bread was soft and mushy ,not a good breakfast à la Française with decent viennoiseries NOT SOGGY the concierge Carlos sent us on a walk just before curfew that was impractical and dangerous outside the resort I cannot believe that a nice walk on the grounds cannot be imagined! the evening meal was good but again the bread was simply barely cooked
