Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsThe hotel wasn't as clean as our first visit, the toilet was quite dirty under the brim for example. While it isn't the hotels fault, the outside area is quite dirty including feces from what appeared to be human on the sidewalk. Keep in mind the location of this hotel and plug your nose outdoors and you are good to go. Our first trip the staff was full of energy and smiles. This time around there was a Rugby team from the UK with a lot of kids at the hotel and one could clearly see the frustration from the staff, especially when it came to the breakfast buffet having to be refilled so much and that no one, including adults from the team seemed to care about cleaning up after themselves with the breakfast.
This was our second visit to this hotel and for the price you get what you can expect. A good breakfast, a good shower and all the basic essentials for someone who isn't looking to spend forever in their room. Also the view from the back is quite nice.

GreeceQuality and variety of breakfast, definitely not worth to pay extra for it. Bed was quite small. In every hotel bathroom doors are not famous for being soundproof but this one was not even closing tightly.
Central location within walking distance from main attractions. Friendly staff. Room was clean.

United KingdomThere was a festival on in the city so all hotels (including this one) were very expensive. Best to check before booking!
Comfortable and quiet room, good shower, very helpful reception staff. The hotel is one metro stop (or a 10-minute walk) from the centre of the city so easy to go backwards and forwards, metro runs late into the evening.

United KingdomThe room is a bit dated, but that is a minor thing. The doors are a bit thin, you can hear when people passing by are talking loudly or when they are closing their doors on the hall. But for the most part, the rooms were quiet.
The location was great, as you were pretty much in the center of the city and had easy access to the metro (if you are keen on using it) and the main sights. The breakfast was good, although there could be more options. The room I stayed in was a good size and was pretty clean. The bed was cozy. The room was nice and quiet, despite being informed at check in that they were renovating the floor above mine. Staff were lovely and you have 24 hour staff available at reception. Being able to check out at 12:00 is nice (compared to other hotels that require you to check out earlier).

NetherlandsThe hotel looks a bit scruffy. The glue marks on our bathroom mirror looked like sperm! 😆 Our hairdryer blew up but they did give us a plug in one. The chair in our room was stained - not attractive.
The location is good, walking distance to the “old town” & close to a metro stop. The breakfast was decent given it’s a 3 star hotel & the room was clean & comfortable.

United KingdomFirst morning breakfast was full and food nice and hot, 2nd day there was no orange juice, so had to ask, then no scrambled egg / or bacon the guy checking things did all the cold stuff first then I did hot stuff so was waiting 10 mins then only egg came out so waited for bacon when that arrived it looked half cooked so had scrambled egg and it was cold. . I must say it was the smallest room I have stayed in at a Holiday Inn Express and have stayed in a few, our room had a gap n the door where you could see the light from hallway through it so would say that was not fire safety protected.
Location was good in waking distance to places, you got a breakfast which was ok,

United KingdomThere was a shortage of staff on our second morning at breakfast time
This was our second stay at this hotel; we chose it because of its location as it is easy to walk to the city centre and it has an underground car park. We found the staff very helpful.

United KingdomThe smell from the cleaning product in the lobby.... really strong and pungy. You wanted to leave the lobby as quick as possible... which is a shame as they have some sofas to relax and a bar area.
Unexpectedly very quiet location despite being almost in the centre of Lille. But, we had a room away from the street and luckily no noisy neighbouring guests. Breakfast was plenty to chose from; staff really friendly and helpful.
