Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomAlthough on ground floor (so therefore in theory suitable for a wheelchair), the room was very cramped for disabled access and parking was not guaranteed. There were also cobbles to the main road which made it difficult to access.
Great location- walking distance from the harbour. Lovely breakfast served until 11 so lots of flexibility.

United KingdomThere's no tea/coffee making facilities in the room - seems to be the thing more and more in France.
Nice, comfortable hotel in easy to find location, ideal for exploring the sights of Honfleur. Handy to have the free parking, albeit a little bit tight squeezing the car in. Breakfast was included and was very enjoyable. Honfleur is an amazing place full of old buildings and streets, with loads of restaurants. We had a fabulous meal at a a bar called Relais des Cyclists, it was a real treat and good value for money.

United KingdomThe hotel was rather tired. Very pretty old building but could do with a bit of TLC. No shower curtain on the bath and the room was probably last decorated in the 1980s. Had to pay for the room on arrival which seemed very odd.
The bed was comfortable . The location was excellent within walking distance and plenty of parking. The room was clean and plenty of hot water.

FranceOur room was very tired and this might be why it didn't feel properly clean. Shower could only be used sitting in the bath as no screen. It was comfortable though.
Very helpful and friendly reception. Position great, with just a little walk to the harbour. Breakfast superb. We had a last minute booking so great value for money and would go back

BelgiumTravellers should note that there's free parking but it's limited and first come, first served. We were unlucky and didn't get spaces often, partly because we always got back so late. But the trick is to use the on-street parking, which you don't pay for overnight. You just have to make sure you get up at 9am to pay, or if guests have left for the day, move the car to the hotel. That worked perfectly for us. Avoid the main carpark in Honfleur, which is 24€ for an overnight stay!
This is a very quaint, original, charming and friendly hotel. It's quirky and old-fashioned but we liked that it had character and personality. It's just a short walk from the harbour and we enjoyed this immensely: we looked forward to our strolls down the road and loved seeing the boats come into view. We were there during Storm Ciaran and the rooms were cosy and warm, the central heating worked a dream and there was copious hot water. Breakfast is typical for France: good croissants, nice baguettes, some delicious cheeses/meats, coffee and juice. Cereal for the kids. The staff were lovely: couldn't be more friendly and kind. There's a supermarket over the road. Very handy!

United KingdomBreakfast was a bit sparse ( eg only cornflakes and choc flakes, no muesli) Coffee very weak. Mattress could do with renewal . Make sure you book parking if you can, we were on the street in front which was fine but if you are worried about security, get a place within the hotel .
Very well located , a quick 5 minute walk to the old port. Unusual building and comfortably sized rooms. Easy to access by car.

GreeceI didn't like the decoration of the room, even though it was a superior room. The breakfast was basic without eggs or omelets, for example.
The location is very good, close to the port, and the Saint's Catherine temple 🛕. Many choices of restaurants and cafe bars.
