Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

FranceNot very spacious room. Cheap but all plastic, furniture, fittings... Local tax should be included in the fee we pay online so we don't have to spend extra time in the am doing that. Use of the heating wasn't clear, as much for the bathroom as for the room itself. Part of it we had to figure out...
Instructions on how to get there at night, how to retrieve the keys were very clear and helpful. Comfy room. Good use of the space and practical small wardrobe.

United KingdomThe outside was rather unkempt (weeds and rubbish in some places, which is a pity as the area is quite attractive otherwise, with fields and river nearby. The corridors are rather scruffy and 'tired.' The elevator would benefit from some pictures and sprucing up. The restaurant was not open (apart from breakfast,) but the nearby Campanile serves excellent food at very reasonable prices..
The room was very pleasant, bed comfortable and the bathroom was clean and modern. A kettle for tea/coffer was a bonus - plus bottle of mineral water. The two young male members of staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. However. the female receptionist was rather 'dour' and needs to smile more! She reluctantly let me have a small amount of milk for tea (I had brought some but ran out) The 2 tiny containers of sterilised milk provided in the room only hold about a teaspoon and aren’t very nice.

United KingdomThe "security gate" to the pool was broken and did not function! Anyone could have entered the pool area.
The hotel was a budget hotel with the assiciated facilities. It was clean but the general state of the building was, "dated".

United KingdomTV 's in the room could be better and the shower was old and needed updating. The rooms are basic but comfortable and you cant really moan based on the price
Location of the hotel is perfect, especially for Deauville races. Just 15 minute walk and 25 to the beach. Italian over the road from the hotel is ok but a bit pricey.

GermanyThe room was way tiny; only one mirror which was IN the bathroom; it was a hot week and there was NOT even a ventilator provided. So the price was unfairly computed for these negative points. But the again, it is what it is.
Very friendly staffs and the location is nice. Close to the center and beaches

United KingdomIt is OK. The location was easy for me to find but if a stranger to the area, the hotel is behind 2 other hotels and local buses only stop about 4 times a day. Deauville /Trouville SNCF station is about 2 miles but over 30 minutes walk.
Kyriad Deauville was a new hotel. I have never stayed before although it must have been built over 10 years ago. St Arnault about a mile inland from the town of Deauville is now a good village with at least one of three of Deauville horse racing tracks nearby. The outdoor swimming pool (open between30th June to October 31st) is a bonus and it is really important to have a car parking space. There was one available for everybody in August/September (My 3 days). I really did like the different breads and types of fruit for breakfast but evening meals were only available on one night, there seems to be a shortage of cooks or chefs in Deauville in August. Deauville has long sandy beaches but having family connections in the First world war and through Falaise Gap and my Mum in 2nd World War. This area is important to me.This hotel is about 4 storeys but it does have a lift.
