Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

FranceBreakfast is adequate but wish it could be served earlier. The host made an exception & said she would serve at 8.30 - 8.45 instead of 9h but even that is too late. Parking was an absolute nightmare even though a previous review said it was easy. We drove around for an hour before we found a space. The ad says the stairs are very steep, they didnt lie!
Very large room & so full of character. Large comfy bed. Locatiin is very central. Host very helpful

United States of AmericaWe had the family room which was very nicely appointed. The bathroom is small, but that's typical of Europe. The room itself was a good size. Breakfast with Alexandra was lovely and quite good. The stairway could be difficult to navigate for some, but again, that's typical of a small European bed and breakfast, so I was not surprised. I prefer to stay in quaint European places then a large hotel chain. To me, this place was perfect.

NetherlandsWe stayed in most beautiful upstairs room, however the stairs were open so we had to cover it with baby bad so the kids will not go or fall down. Perhaps some kind of gate could be placed there. Besides that we really loved the room and the place!
Really beautiful place with all you need in the room (coffee, thee, water and cider :). Friendly staff, good breakfast, comfy living room. Friendly staff, great breakfast and it is quiet home like. The location is excellent...and it is a beautiful anticent building with a garden!

United KingdomPerfectly situated historic house for the beautiful town of Honfleur. The host Alexandra was delightful and very helpful. The breakfast is superb, apple crumble and goats cheese quiche were especially good. I agree with the other reviews, that the stairs are small and steep, not a problem for us but maybe for people with mobility difficulties. The house is also old so sound travels well through the walls but this is also part of the charm. Would stay here again.

United KingdomBe aware that there is a steep, narrow spiral staircase if you have limited mobility. Having said that, we are in our seventies and we managed fine 😀
We had a large room which was full of character and had everything we needed. Elisa and her team made us very welcome and the breakfasts were wonderful!

United KingdomMerely the fact we were only there for two nights. It’s central, but still very quiet. Lots to do, needs several nights really.
This is a truly exceptional place to stay. Beautiful house, filled with lovely things. Our first floor room was huge, bathroom lovely and well equipped. Bottle of local cider waiting for us and a plate of snacks. Greeted by delightful friendly English speaking staff who could not have been more helpful. We had to leave early in last day to get a ferry, they served our breakfast earlier than the usual time so we didn’t miss it. Thoughtful and beyond the call. Breakfast lovely, plentiful, served in communal room. Free home made cookies laid out in same room. Parking proved to be quite easy, we had a space on the road outside. E10 for 24 hours and super convenient. Honfleur itself was a revelation, gorgeous, full of restaurants and lots to see. We are already planning another trip there and will unquestionably stay at the Maison. As should you if you are considering it. Hugely recommended, and we are very picky.

GermanyAt the end of the town (300-400 m) distance away in a little street a old traditional house with a good renovated facilities and with a very nice quiet little back yard terrace garden we had the luck to have a room on the first floor. Was very roomy with a very nice wooden furnishings, fireplace decent bathroom and very nice bed. on the ground floor a good equipped kitchen and a very nice living room with a nice atmosphere for a romantic dinner if you wish. Staf was very friendly and helpful always with a smile on their lips. Alexandra that was our communication partner was at all times reachable and pleasant. Kylian the Chef had amazing creations for us and is a young man with lots of potential in his field. thank you is to little to say.
