The property is 9km up from the main road . Have good views but very twisty narrow roads. No snow on the roads fortunately but would not like to drive it in bad weather. Nothing nearby .

Warm and very quiet . Dog friendly with a nice walk off lead just behind the hotel . Good value.

Nice little room with amazing view of the mountains. Not so much to say, the room is pretty basic but it has everything you need. The bathroom was functional and clean and staff was friendly. Definitely recomended!

I booked a double room, but instead got a single couch where you can pull out one more single bed at a different height level. I was too tired to change it when I understood the problem after already unpacking for one night.

There is no iron and hairdryer in the room and location-wise a bit far up but the view was amazing

The hotel could be a lot better with some repairs on the outside playground and toys that are partially broken but easily fixable, some repairs are needed also around the parking (not complicated). Around the hotel, on the way, just before reaching the place, you'll see in the forest some deserted buildings, but I guess they hotel cannot chamge that. We were also looking for the trampooline, but it was nowhere to be found except the Booking photos.

Nice view from the hotel, friendly personnel. When we visited, it was by far the cheapest in the area, so we had lower expectations, I would say they were met.

Amazing location with around 30 minutes away from Chamonix. Lots of hiking trail around. Very friendly staff. The evening buffet was good and the buffet breakfast was okay.

This hotel is located beautifully in the mountains with an amazing view over the valley of Passy, just 20 minutes drive from Chamonix. Rooms are very basic, beds are ok comfortable and it’s clean, our bathroom was newly renovated which was nice, although our toilet was a little loose… It’s a bit noisy/thin walls and the kitchen utensils in the apartments are few, but it has most things you’ll need for a shorter stay. Very friendly staff! Le Fontenay was perfect for our us and we’re very happy with our experience, especially with the price since everything in/around Chamonix is quite expensive.

The room was quite small, and the overpowering smell of detergents was unpleasant. Additionally, the fact that the shower and toilet were only isolated by a curtain was a bit inconvenient. However, despite these downsides, I must say that the friendly staff, good breakfast and dinner, and overall value for money still made my experience enjoyable.

It offers good value for money. The staff at the reception and in the restaurant were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The breakfast and buffet dinner were good and satisfying. I appreciated having tea and coffee available whenever I wanted. The peaceful location, though far from the hustle and bustle of the city, added to the overall relaxing experience.

The building is old. Breakfast is very basic. (I am putting it as a comment here, but we were happy about it because the room rate was a very good value). Wifi doesn’t work in the rooms, but works Ok in the ground floor.
