Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe breakfast was not worth the money at all. We booked breakfast on the first day but never returned during our stay. Not enough hot food and hardly any fresh fruit.

United KingdomGot very hot upstairs as air conditioning was only downstairs. Next time would book a single storey unit. Only one bedroom out of three had a rail for hanging clothes. Very noisy air ventilation unit, sounded like an aeroplane at times and it was constant. WiFi was poor in apartment Pillows were not that comfy Downstairs showers leaked considerably as screen rubber was leaky so water leaked out in bathroom and into bedroom and had blown wooden floor/skirting board. We used upstairs shower instead so not a big issue.
Pool areas were brilliant and restaurant and bar. Air conditioning was great but only had it downstairs Very clean apartment and spacious - garden area was lovely bonus too. Great location for exploring other places - La Rochelle and Chattellion du plage were both worth visits. Staff were lovely and helpful - sorted an issue we had with air conditioning unit.

United KingdomWe would have appreciated having an oven and a BBQ, as cooking with just a hob and microwave is a little limited. A washing machine, and a proper sized freezer section rather than just the ice box compartment would also have been a bonus. Some aspects of the accommodation were slightly dated and shabby, but we spent a lot of time outside so it didn't really matter. We hadn't clocked that the en-suite shower rooms don't have toilets, but it was fine as there were 2 separate toilets (one upstairs and one downstairs). The shower in the bath downstairs isn't fixed to the wall- again, this was OK for us as we shared the 'proper' showers in the en-suites. When we booked, we had thought that pool towels were included in the price of the accommodation (they can be hired for 5 euros per person per day); however, this misunderstanding was kindly, and quickly, resolved by the site staff who allowed us to use the towels for free.
We really liked the comfortable, clean accommodation and thought this was a well-presented small site. It has two lovely swimming pools and a good restaurant. It has a friendly, relaxed feel to it, and there was a good mix of families and nationalities with older and younger children. The gardens are well cared for. Having the poolside bar open in the afternoons was a nice touch, and it was great always being able to get a sun lounger by the pool. There were plenty of parasols to go round. Our teens enjoyed playing pool and there was also table tennis. We were in the 4 bedroom villa which had loads of space for our family of 6 (2 adults, 4 older teenagers). It was very nice to have a private garden / decked area. The beds were extremely comfortable, with a choice of pillows. We had lovely day trips to La Rochelle and the Ile de Re, and enjoyed the market at Chatellailon Plage where there is a huge sandy beach, well worth the half-hour walk. There is a large Carrefour about 5 minutes drive away, which is handy for stocking up on provisions.

United KingdomThe gardens are lovely but full of small burs that get caught in dogs hair. And also there is no fence to contain the garden, meaning dogs or small children could wander off.
Very modern buildings with loads of space in the apartments. Comfy bedrooms. Lots of different areas to relax such as living room, dining area and patios. Very relaxed atmosphere with very friendly staff. Fun entertainment and good cocktails. Close to shops, a small beach and also a bus stop into La Rochelle that only costs €1.50 and takes 35 minutes.

United KingdomLots of ants in the apartment with no real solution suggested by housekeeping. 1 toilet with no hand basin for 3 double bedrooms (2 en-suites but no toilet in either of them!) Twin room had no furniture apart from beds, nowhere to hang clothes, only good for kids or organised minimalists, however the other 2 bedrooms were very nice.
Modern & comfortable, well equipped for cooking, laundry, dishwasher, etc., plenty of space in the main room, , super patio with retractable shade, lovely site. next to a wildish beach & within a mile or so of the beautiful golden sand & resort of Chatelaillon plage. 2 lovely pools, restaurant/coffee/bar, boules, table tennis, etc. There were minimal extras so take or buy your salt, pepper, sugar, cooking oil, washing up liquid, etc. if your planning to cook/ stay a while.

NetherlandsI would recommend some anti slip strips on the stairs, especially since they're rather narrow. Also in the bathroom we lacked some space to put the toiletries. Definitely not the worst thing, but maybe it can be solved with a simple shelf in the bathroom.
The place was very clean and comfortable. The staff was kind. There were special carts to bring the stuff from the car to the house, loved them. Everything you need is in the house, even a small bag with kitchen cleaning supplies. The coffee was very good. Beds were amazingly comfortable.

FranceUnfortunately the restaurant was shut on Saturday night for a private party , but we had been given advanced warning of this by the hotel. However we were able to order takeaway pizzas from the kitchen.
The room/apartment was one big room which suited us fine as a couple with 2 little dogs. It had it's own terrace right outside. The restaurant was very convenient and the option to have breakfast was useful when only staying for one night.

Australianothing apart from the lack of clarity regarding our initial booking. Elderly people, room did not specify spiral staircase to bedrooms.
Our initial booking wasn't suitable for us, 4 elderly adults. However for a small amount we got an upgraded room which was excellent. Staff handled our predicament great.

United KingdomWe would have liked to use the restaurant, but it was closed most of the time we were there. This was very disappointing. Some help with cases would be nice.
The apartment size was great. The decor.and comfort were also really good. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The heated pool was nice, although sadly the poor weather meant we didn't use it much. The little kitchen cleaning kit was a good idea. coffee pods for the machine.

IrelandIt would have been nice to have the main pool open but it was the middle of September and it was very quiet but we did have the secondary pool to lay beside.
The duplex we stayed in was great, plenty of room with good facilities. We had both breakfast and dinner at the restaurant/bar and were very pleased with both. The whole complex was very well maintained. I'm sure we'll be back.
