I was in Room 4, which is located just at the bottom of the stairs, making it very noisy. There are signs asking guests to be quiet, which they mainly were, but there is nothing you can do about the footsteps, or the sound of the heavy, clunky keys turning in the heavy, clunky locks.

Great location, and a charming house. Impeccable welcome and care from the staff who were always cheerful, friendly and helpful. The garden is absolutely beautiful, and the scent from the orange blossom was heavenly.

We loved our stay at the Hotel Villa Rose. It is outside the busy rush of central Nice, but still so easy to get into the centre on the tram, which is a 5-minute walk away. We were surprised with a free upgrade to our room, and our every whim was catered to. Breakfast - local Viennoisserie and breads, was delicious, and the bed was very comfy, as were the towels. Son was an amazing and hard-working host, and gave us the best recommendations of where to visit and where to eat. If you are looking for a relaxing, comfortable and cosy place to stay, which isn’t in the middle of the tourist melee, we would highly recommend Hotel Villa Rose!

The staff! Very helpful and kind. It was a rainy day in Nice unfortunately but they were kind enough to let me use an umbrella to explore the city. It was also very clean and perfect for a solo traveler.

Room and bed was quite small. There was also a mosquito in the room which I couldn't get rid of, and had to get something by the supermarket to take care of. Would be handy if the hotel could include something in the rooms for guests to help.

It is quite far from the centre of things but for the price (still a lot but everywhere is a lot) and the house itself, I didn’t mind the extra walk. The aircon was very loud in my room so I couldn’t use it during the night but it wasn’t such a problem.

The house is beautiful and quirky - makes for a special stay. The room had everything I needed and the bathroom was perfect. The property is very clean and the staff very accommodating.

The host was great! We only stayed for one night and he took his time to show us a map of the whole town and gave us some good advice for our trip. He was very welcoming and accepted our reservation last minute. The room was so beautiful and bed was very comfortable. Place is very private and safe.

Charming boutique hotel with a cozy and beautiful garden, very clean and tastefully decorated room. The host were extremely welcoming, helpful and very knowledgable on the area. Breakfast was superb, served in the garden with fresh croissants, artisan bread, yogurt, cold meat, eggs, choice of coffee or tea as well as freshly squeezed orange juice.
