Restaurant, pool, robes, excellent food & amazing pudding! Dog sausage was a winner too, Flash loved it. Great choice for breakfast. Great helpful, friendly but professional staff.

Food and hotel was superb. Location is brilliant in the New Forest. Great bar area.

Unfortunately the main restaurant was being refurbished. Spa facilities were quite small and busy most times.

Hotel was nicely set out with lots of interesting things to look at. Plenty of places to sit and relax. Food was wonderful.

The added gratuity. While we liked to still tip the individual staff for their service. The noise in corridor. The lack of surface area in room for plugging in kettle hairdryer etc. So I moved the table to rectify this issue

The pool area looked a bit tired but our children enjoyed it. Dinners were quite pricey and some dishes didn't warrant the price.

The staff from House Keeping to Front of House were extremely friendly helpful and competetent. Food in the restaurant exceptional . The standard rooms could use an upgrade though.

The room was a bit worn, and two single beds were pushed together and cracked bathroom sink and hot water tap has ait in it which would splutter when used

Wouldn't class as spa hotel, yes there was a pool, hot tub, sauna, basic. Pricey, drinks mainly.

Lovely oldie woldie hotel, food was good, good location, nice overall stay. Would stay again, price for hotel was was OK.

The upper floors and room were very hot. I was provided a fan which just about made it bearable to sleep.

Location was great, perfect base from which to get around the New Forest.

Room was extremely hot and with jet propelled fan going on all night to keep us cool. It was an uncomfortable nights sleep The towels smelt of fried oil too. Very unpleasant after a nice shower to use

Breakfast was was good Plenty to choose from The lodge bar was comfortable and the food menu very good. Although the pizza menu was slightly confusing. No actual pizza toppings being offered!

We were very hot on our room - we found that some people had a fan. We were in 37 not sure if there was one there. Exceptionally hot weather though. Brockenhurst taxis let us down completely - not your fault but worth knowing. We were late for a booking at The Pig and they threatened to only keep the table for 15 extra minutes.

The staff were attentive and friendly. Jordan was a star! The outdoor pool was very warm which was great.

Games room needs some investment and was tired. Service was pretty poor in the main restaurant , the restaurant manager on the day spent lots of time talking to guests which detracted from service , waiting staff were undertrained and made some mistakes, I had to ask for a steak knife for instance for a steak I’d spend £32 on and we got 4 lots of bread rolls

Swimming pools were great. Staff were generally friendly. We really liked Ellie and Chloe they were amazing and provided the best service we received on our stay.

The mattresses were overly firm, and the pillows thin. The room (which was on the second floor) was very hot despite it not being a hot day which made it difficult to sleep.

Breakfast was a good quality buffet, with some of the best scrambled eggs I have had at a hotel. The room was a good size. And the dinner menu well-thought out.

My suggestion is that the desk in the room needs a mirror- as there was not a power point near enough to plug in the hair dryer as the only mirror was on the wardrobe door
