The toilet was tricky to flush. Staff said it’s just the property. All are like that. Figured it out. Sometimes it worked first time and other times had to keep trying.

Great hotel with a large staircase. Check in was at 3 and we were a bit early, thought we would get a drink but the hotel bar doesnt open until 4 so we went elsewhere.. then at 4, it still wasnt open. We upgraded to a suite, 2 televisions, one remote control which didn't work, comfy bed and the extra room was good.. shower was good and decent shampoo etc.. following morning, breakfast, not the best if I am honest, full English ordered, obviously cooked fresh but it took a long time and the bacon and sausage were not the best.. staff throughout the stay were very good, polite and attentive..

Car park recommended was very pricey and difficult to find. It said £10 for 24 hours but I was charged £14 for less than 24 hours.

Dated and not the cleanest of rooms cobwebs on lights black marks in bathroom etc also do not accept cash for anything yes I know a lot of things are becoming cashless but I had no cards on me and my phone had died so couldn’t use Apple Pay so couldn’t even order a drink

Location is good in the middle of the city with easy access to main roads and shopping facilities

Bedroom was a little dated and shabby. This was probably why the room rate was heavily discounted. Ok for the price, but would have been disappointed if we had paid full rate.

Great location and good value for money. Public areas of hotel were well kept and clean.

Rooms a little hot, the heating wasn't on but they do have fans in the room. Bar was not open.

Needed lots of updating, room was large but very old and in need of refurbishing also bathroom looked well worn!

The whole hotel was really hot. The window in the room didn't open far enough to let in any fresh air and it was propped open with a coat hanger. But the heat was the same in all of the common areas too. Although the rooms were nice, there was a few cosmetics that needed attention. Peeling wallpaper, missing wheel on one bed so it was uneven and a hole in the carpet. Breakfast took 20 mins to come out. The eggs were freshly cooked but it was clear that the rest of the breakfast was precooked so shouldn't have taken as long as it did.

Rooms and hotel nice and comfortable. All the staff were friendly and attentive. Breakfast was tasty. Location was great right in the middle of history and entertainment.

Dated, mould in the shower and stained walls, very very hot in the room and the wall fan didn't help at all so had to use the plug in fan the whole night

Lift to the floors is Tiny 3 people or 2 with luggage. Made me claustrophobic. Hotel was also ridiculously hot, radiators on full blast.

Location is excellent. Check in staff were fantastic and very friendly.
