Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe individual breakfasts when the buffet wasn't available were poor. My sink got blocked but despite reporting it, maintenance never got around to sorting it during my stay there. The local buses don't run a parallel service back to Stockport Station so cabs are required if you don't have a car.
The buffet breakfast was fine but the individual cooked breakfast when the buffet wasn't on was poor. The staff were friendly. The bed was comfortable in my room and there was a good shower. Also well located for a very good local pub called Puss in Boots!

United KingdomThe hotel was shabby. There was no bath mat in the bathroom. The head board banged on the wall every time you moved so I had to sleep half way down the bed to avoid the head board. The room next door had the same problem as I was disturbed by their ‘banging’. I feel this were things that could have been fixed. I payed £159 fir one night with out breakfast being included. There was the constant loud noisr of a condensing unit. The WiFi did not work in the rooms at all, when I asked I was told ‘they only work down here’, I presumed this meant the whole of the ground floor, no! I was unable to get it to work even in the restaurant. An over all very bad experience fir a lot of money.
The breakfast was fine although I had to pay extra for it which was surprising after the cost of the room.

United KingdomWe wanted an evening meal but the restaurant was closed due to chef being ill,(not sure if this was true!) When we went for breakfast the waiting staff did not notice us for 3 or 4 minutes, he was too busy clearing and setting tables. I noticed this happened a few times with other clients having to wait before they were checked in and seated. Also the choice on the breakfast buffet was very limited. The bedroom dated could do with a freshen up, for example a lick of paint or re decorated.
Check in was very good, staff friendly. Bar staff extremely friendly, chatty and interested in us and our visit.

ItalyLate check in, I had to pay 10£ to have early check in at 2 and arrived really early in the morning. The lady at the reception said she would have not debited the 10£ but at the end it was taken from my credit card. They also pre-authorized payment on my credit card the day before (which was not mentioned on booking.com as payment was at the hotel). the lady at the reception was very kind and said after I paid local the pre-booking would have cleared, it took more than a week to clear so the money was blocked which was an issue for me.
Room was ok, it was not far from the airport even if the taxi rate was a lot higher than what indicated. Consider 5£ extra as they taxi takes you in the airport and asks for the extra fare

United KingdomDecor in the corridors and and the bar/breakfast room was rather dated. The lift didn't work but taking stairs to our 1st floor room wasn't too much hassle for us with very little luggage. There were only 3 tea bags with our in-room refreshment facilities - not enough for each of us to have a cuppa in the evening and again in the morning. The walls were thin so we could hear other guests' conversations outside of our room throughout the evening. Our view was of a plain brick wall belonging to an adjoining building and not very pleasant. There was no hairdryer in the room and no information about the hotel's facilities or services. When we left the hotel in the morning and went to our car, it was clear that people had used the car parking area to take drugs and had left debris - no staff had been detailed to clear the small flasks away which gave a very bad image of the hotel, its guests and/or local youth.
Parking was free & there was plenty of parking space when we arrived. Reception staff were satisfactory but not over-friendly. Our room was basic but comfortable. The bathroom was very clean and towels were clean, fluffy and fairly new. We were able to open a window fully enough to freshen up the air in the room. The bed was comfortable and the bedding was clean though looking old and slightly unkempt. The wardrobe contained ample new wooden coat-hangers. The number of bar staff was very limited but the one who served us was friendly and accommodating. The buffet breakfast in the morning was more than adequate though the toasters were slow to toast. On leaving, the Reception staff seemed much friendlier than when we checked in.
