You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United KingdomThe small fridge wasn’t working. That needs upgrading as we bought milk and it went sour in just 3 days.
The location as it was near to the beach, shops and for breakfast it was very near to Britten House as the guest house didn’t provide food. There were near by restaurant as well. Public Transport was near and as we didn’t have a car it was easy for us to get to places.

United KingdomThe room was a little warm but there was a fan left in our room for us so not really an issue and bed a bit firmer than I’m used to but that is more down to personal preference I guess.
The location and price of this hotel is amazing. It even had a little table top fridge in our room for us to use which was a nice little touch.

United KingdomEntry was via a phone call and I didn't meet the proprietors once during my three-day stay. There did not appear to be any communal facilities - and no breakfast was on offer. All the doors were closed - so I did not meet any of the other guests. Had the weather not been so good, it would have been a very lonely stay.
It was close to the sea front.

United KingdomFelt extremely pressurised by constant messages asking if I was still coming as well as several notifications from my bank telling me the hotel was trying to take money from me over a week before my stay there. I did not appreciate this and it caused a great deal of stress. I was in the area for a wedding and if I hadn’t of desperately needed the room I would have cancelled and stayed elsewhere. The plug socket situation on the top floor is ridiculous and so many things are plugged into extension cables which are in turn plugged into extension cables- felt really dangerous. No full length mirror in the room, appreciate there are a couple on the way down the stairs as you leave though.

United KingdomTV had no signal. Tea and coffee wasn't topped up. No staff seen for all of stay. If you need a clean inexpensive room with no frills but close to the beach, then Britten house is excellent. Just take your own coffee..

United KingdomThe outside of the toilet was dirty. A bulb had blown, only one bedside lamp, not enough milk, only enough shampoo and conditioner etc for one person for one shower, no soaps. The soap dispenser didn't work properly, we had to get s man out to mend tv.poor lighting I'm our room and sweaty smell in hotel landing.
There was no breakfast. We read on the reviews that there were. Very disappointed.
