Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomWe were a bit out of season but only saw one other couple so ate alone. Bar closed at evening but nice sitting room with a fire on the sat. We enjoyed the meal Food was spot on but on second night the Sunday please be aware all closed and dark (no fire in sitting room or visible staff so no bar or coffee either ) We were excited to be upgraded to first floor superior room but found it to be a bit tired with old water stains on ceiling and the bathroom door was very flimsy , room was clean though just felt like it needed a refresh and decorate !
Location did not disappoint. Beautiful gardens leading directly to a stunning beach with a castle and church en route The staff were welcoming and service at breakfast was lovely

United States of AmericaThankfully we turned up in the morning to find the hotel. When we arrived we saw a notice saying the restaurant was not opening on the Sunday or Monday. We had not been given any prior notice and had planned to Eat that evening here. We then had time to find a local pub for lunch. Not so easy on Easter Sunday. If we had turned up later there would have been a problem as everywhere would have been closed. A curtesy email would have not have gone amiss. We then bought items to have a snack supper in our room later that night. We had to use the bathroom plastic glasses for a bottle of wine as nothing available or offered when we booked in or a lounge shown to relax in. The doors rattled in the annex and noisy when others came in. It just felt over priced for the type of room received. We booked by the pictures used in the main house. We wanted to treat ourselves. Sadly a little disappointed as had higher expectations from the advert.
It was a gorgeous location. We did have a comfortable good nights stay although our room was nothing like the chosen booking and we were out in the annex. Good choice of items for breakfast.

United KingdomThe restaurant was closed due to lack of staff and no where within walking distance to have food. This was not advised at time of booking. The only other trivial thing was no BBC or ITV on the television.
It was a charmingly old fashioned house close to the beach. The breakfast was really good. Help yourself continental and a cooked breakfast to order.

United KingdomOur room was number 10 in the coach house annex. The room was dated and looked tired. It seemed a shame as I would imagine the hotel has massive potential to be a fantastic venue for weddings, with a perfect location.
Perfect location. Perfect for for access to a beach. Good Wifi. Generous and excellent breakfast selection. Staff polite courteous and friendly. Dog friendly.

Germany- a bit pricey overall - the steak was a bit tasteless and chewy
- lovely staff - spacious room with big bed and many pillows - bathroom with bathtub - great location right next to the castle - breakfast was good (especially the tiny croissants) - yummy chips! - amazing garlic mushroom sauce!

United KingdomThe decor, though charming and period, is a little tired.
Breakfast. Fresh fruit (especially berries) and yoghurt. A variety of cooked courses, including kippers and smoked salmon, were also available. Coffee, served in a cafetiere, was also of a high quality (though a bit stewed on one day only). Dinner was very good indeed. Restaurant meals often start well and end well, but disappoint with their middle courses. Here, some of the main courses were exceptional. We particularly liked the Lamb Tagine. And, as a starter, the Prawns Tempura. The room, though adequate, was a little cramped (I understand there are better rooms, both better appointed and more spacious; our problem was that we booked late.) A stand-out feature was the garden-view and the sea beyond. This was readily accessible from the restaurant salon, giving the evening meal a charming ambience. Another plus point: the staff like dogs. We'll be bringing ours next time. Surroundings: Manorbier Castle and St Peter's Church are in easy walking distance of the hotel and worth a visit.

United KingdomGiven the price, property was very tired and in need of renovation. Wall paper peeling off and old fashioned decor. Breakfast was good but could have been better with better quality sausages etc.
Lovely location a short walk from the beach. We opted for a more expensive room which was lovely and spacious.
