United KingdomThe bathroom needed updating. Only towel rail for hand towel is above the toilet which is in a strange place. Breakfast choices very poor. Staff could be friendlier and more helpful. Would have been nice to have water for day 2 of my stay.
The location was great. Nice quiet setting. Pleased my room was on 1st floor. It was busy during my stay but my room was located in a quiet part of the hotel. I liked the tea/coffee making facilities and water.

United KingdomStaff make you feel like they are doing you a favour for doing their job. Through check in, especially in the restaurant you almost have to apologise for asking them something! Pool area in general is cold, I was only there for short period of time but if I'd been having a full day spa it would have been unpleasantly cold to sit for any period of time.
Room was great. Facilities are fantastic. Good Gym, Nice pool and spa area.

Pretty good But dinner was difficult. I cannot eat seeds nuts or hard rice There was nothing on the menu I could safely eat I had the chicken and rice but it had wild rice through it. They did ask me if I had allergies but theses are not allergies. I have diverticular disease and seeds etc can lodge in your gut cause infection etc I should have asked for something simple but I didn’t know if the menu could be changed.

United KingdomThis is the second time I've stayed for work purposes and it was a lot better this time. Room was comfortable and clean with nice countryside views. Facilities are good. The gym is a lot better than most hotel gyms. Spa facilities are decent. Staff friendly. Food good. I also received complimentary flip flops, robe and bag. I got to keep the bag and flip flops which I thought was a nice touch.

United KingdomThey are in the middle of a refurb of both the women’s changing rooms and the main areas. This means that the women’s changing is quite some distance from the spa area and there is no steam room accessible to women. The sauna and hydro pool get very busy quite quickly as the former is small and the latter is popular. Fine for one night but not enough to entertain me for a spa break. New payment system meant that I was charged twice for dinner. Fortunately this was rectified once I pointed it out. The staff are great but the systems and buildings weren’t as good as other Champneys I have visited. That said it was cheaper then others in the group.
Staff are friendly. Useful location for getting to Leicester.

Polandred tape and hours upon entrening we were flooded with forms to fill in and regulations cenrening the stay e.g. to book table for dinner and breakfast for specific hour, to leave the room before 10.00 to wear elegant clothing for dinner. Very tiny portions for dinner and since it is in the mddle of nowehere you cannot go elsewhere

United KingdomUnfortunately, the resort was let down by some bad service. I advised the hotel I would arrive around midnight, when I did no-one was on reception, I had to wait 20-30 mins for someone to check me in. I was disappointed as I needed to get to sleep for work the following day and didn't enjoy being alone in a dark reception. The porter was apologetic but surely, when someone advises they will be checking in late, they would have someone on reception ready. Then at breakfast, I was left waiting to be seated outside the restaurant longer than I should've been. When I was told to just walk in, none of the waiting staff sat me down, explained what was on offer and how it worked. Although friendly, I had to 'extract' the information from them which was tedious and unnecessary. (I found out there was a Continental buffet included, extra charge for cooked options on a separate menu)
It is a nice hotel in lovely surroundings, I was in room 62 which was pleasant and comfortable. It had french doors opening into my own small patio and large communal garden which was a nice, peaceful place. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to use the spa but it looked nice. I didn't get to use the gym either, so couldn't comment on that. Bar area and restaurant were decent and also had outdoor seating which was a bonus.

The hotel is very nicely located, there is a lot of green around, some animals too. Everything looks very fancy. I also left early, so the staff provided me with take-out breakfast (a big plus for the staff). There were even vegan options inside - this was very nice. If you have more time, you would surely find some more things to like, like a gym or swimming pool. I would definitely stay there again.
