Staff friendly and rooms were comfortable and clean. The breakfast was amazing and I like the location. It was nice to have a drink in the bar and the free drinks voucher is great.

Couldn’t be helped but fire alarm went off in the night. Parking a bit of a faff But that’s all.

The first and foremost was staff friendliness and helpfulness. Room comfy and clean. Bed so comfy Lovely dinner . And couldn’t fault the breakfast.

The worst part about this accommodation and Ambleside in general was leaving :(

Everything was great about this place and it's hard to pick out a single thing. The room was very cozy, location/neighbourhood were fabulous, and the included breakfast was solid gold. Sometimes the pub was going off, but this didn't affect our sleep at all. This place is very sound proof.

Room was quite small for 3 of us but fine for the amount of time we were there.

Lovely inn and in an excellent location in the heart of Ambleside. Staff lovely and helpful / friendly and a good breakfast.

We felt the rooms were a little on the small side, however it would not stop us from staying here again. The menu in the restaurant was a little bit limited.

Staff were brilliant. Warm and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Bar area was lovely and breakfast was really nice with lots of choice. Great for people with dogs. Excellent location.

Didnt eat there but considered and looked at meals coming out and read other reviews. Didnt look good enough to eat there but could have been wrong. The local curry house was spot on though and their breakfast lovely

No hot water in shower, just warm. Lack of car parking, quite a trek to the Public Car Park and additional £10 per day.

Only downside was the price which was expensive across the Easter weekend. On normal weekends it is great value for money

This stay exceeded our expectations! The staff were top of our list - helpful, attentive, charming, friendly and cheerful! The room was great with a very nice bed and bathroom. Good breakfast and a free pint if we didn’t want our room serviced. Right in the middle of town by the bus stop for trips and close to nice shops, cafes and walks. Absolutely lovely stay … those staff have done you proud!

Everything was as I expected for the money paid

Room was spotless though just the faintest smell of damp dog lingering. Probably all that rain !!!

The only reservation was we stayed on the ground floor of the cottage. And with it being an old building you could literally hear every footstep and creek in the floor from upstairs. Probably didn’t help that the people above couldn’t sit still and sound like they were throwing things around the room and decided to do it either late at night or 5 in the morning.

Was a nice stay. Staff were super friendly and helpful and couldn’t have done more for us. Food was great too.
