Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe hotel was in a tiny village and had to drive to Wells to go to supermarkets or restaurants.
Breakfast was really nice. The location was idyllic with lovely views, peaceful. The bed was comfortable and staff was polite.

United KingdomA little disappointed with breakfast choice, I would have liked a low fat/calorie option. Having said we were happy with our choices. The only other point I would make there is no sign to say where reception is on arrival and we had to ask the lady in hair dressers where to go.
The staff were friendly and efficient. The room was large and comfortable, with a lovely view towards Glastonbury Tor. We ate there 3 nights running, 2 nights there were special meal offers which excellent value for money. The curry on Thu night was delicious

SpainWalk to reception, being disabled a bit of a hike with luggage. Also could use a lift or somewhere on website to request a ground floor room but the young man on reception was great and carried our luggage up for us.
Situation for local attractions. Good for food not having to go out.

United KingdomNot a single thing! Well the weather was rubbish but we can't hold Crossways responsible for that.
One of the least "stuffy" hotels we've stayed in with a very relaxed atmosphere. The breakfasts were amazing with plenty of choice and the evening meals which we sampled during our stay were wonderful too! All of the staff were very helpful and polite.

United KingdomThe pillow were flat, lumpy, and hard, we did bring this up, but we're told they we only purchased a month before. This didn't change that they were flat, lumpy, and hard. I assumed we would have a walk in shower which was on all the booking.com images but we had a rather tired looking bath with shower, on reading the notes some have baths but i though that was in addion to, not instead of a walk in shower, we have mobility issues and couldn't clime over the bath so this was dissapointing. The bathroom towel rail was on the whole time but didn't get warm, nor did the bathroom. You only seem to be able to have all the lights on in the room or none of the lights on, you can't have one bedside light on for example. My husband enjoyed his main meal in the restaurant, unfortunately I did not enjoy mine.
Lovley friendly helpful staff on the whole. Plenty of parking. Spacious room. Good selection for breakfast. Was fairly quiet.

United KingdomSlightly small cooked breakfast. Seemed a long walk from the car park to reception ( when you arrive in the dark), but it was signposted so we didn’t get lost.
Clean and quiet hotel. We stayed on a Monday evening so it was not busy. Fabulous views across to Glastonbury Tor.

United KingdomWe struggled with the lighting in the room, there isn't a main light in the centre and the wall lights are limited. It's ok most of the time but when you are unpacking or trying to find something it was a struggle to see.
A good location for our visit to the showground at Shepton Mallet, everything we needed was there so once we returned from the show we could get a meal and a drinks and didn't need to go out again. The room and its facilities were what we needed to have a shower and a good night's sleep. One of the best value properties in the area.

Lounge, bar and bedrooms are good. Outside is very tired. There seems to be few staff so the waiting time for a drink at the bar was terrible. Food was poor although the carvery on Sunday was good. Dinner in the evening very poor. Hotel is not as good as it used to be unfortunately 😳
