No air con, bedroom was uncomfortably warm and there was far too many stairs.

Easy check in, traditional and grand decor. Food was excellent and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. Can’t wait to come back.

A very nice room, sadly a quick turnaround for me. An excellent dinner. My only criticism was the 'canned music' in the dining room and it was too dark to be able to read.

Bit of litter directly outside the reception. Tiny attention to detail but was noticed.

Stepping into a high bath could be difficult for some. We ordered a taxi early in the day for that evening through reception and we had a 30 min wait, which kept us late for dinner.

The hotel has great character and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

    Nothing

Everything! The lovely spacious room, very comfortable bed and bedding, wonderful shower and lots of special touches like caramel wafers and hot chocolate. Managed to get a very competitive price. Within easy walking distance of Hyndland and Byres Road. Will definitely be back.

Breakfast was disappointing disorganised . Food was cold as was the coffee. Service was poor and continually had to request breakfast essentials eg toast, coffee jam or marmalade. This spoiled what was up till then an excellent stay.

Bedroom was excellent with nice bath .Dinner was very good with excellent service.

Breakfast seemed a little bit disorganised but that said it was served by attentive and friendly staff and was good. The tea which was brewed in a large jug was far too strong for my liking. The dinner was very nice but the pork cheek was just a touch too tough and possibly a bit over cooked.

Staff very welcoming and professional without being overbearing in any way. Hotel has stunning unique decor and room was immaculate.

Room servicing could be improved. Towels placed in the bathtub to be exchanged were simply hung up again to dry. Tea in the room was not replenished after the first night. Small debris on the floor on arrival, but nothing dramatic.

Overall, staying at the hotel was a pleasant experience. Our room was spacious and well appointed. The building is beautiful and elegant. The Westend area of Glasgow is wonderful, full of unique shops, restaurants and sights. The front of house staff were readily available, friendly and extremely helpful. Our meal at the restaurant was good. Continental breakfast was overpriced at GPB 20 per person offering a limited selection of items. We would stay again.
