Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United Kingdom-
The garden suite (Thyme) was amazing, an an unexpected upgrade to the room we paid for. So tranquil and well equipped, loved the comfort and design with the bifolding doors onto the patio and the skylight. The breakfast was great too with lots of choice! Amazing experience

United KingdomThe beds are a bit small, as we are used to a supering, but that is my only negative.
Breakfast was exceptional, so much to choose from, and the staff throughout the hotel were fantastic. The gardens are so well kept and would be lovely to enjoy them, weather permitting. The location was a 4-5 minute walk which was perfect as it was so quiet.

United KingdomGreat decor but definitely needs updating and a real shame the amazing looking bar wasn’t open. Breakfast was good but we had to go and chase someone to get our order.
Great staff. Clean room. Love the lounges. Nice garden and a good vibe.

United KingdomThe breakfast room was chilly.
Breakfast was good. The gluten free granola was delicious. Our hotel room was very nicely furnished, warm and luxurious. We particularly enjoyed playing pool in the evenings and when we came back to the hotel from various trips out. There were no other guests around and it felt as though the pool table was our own!

United KingdomI would have liked fresh apple and orange juice at breakfast.
The staff were very friendly and helpful especially when recommending a restaurant that would do a take away as one of our party was unwell. There were nice touches in the bedrooms. Some sloe gin and a hot water bottle. I thought the breakfast was very good.

United KingdomEven though the staff are really kind and helpful, all services end at 9pm, and hence the hotel it is effectively an expensive B&B! We needed some milk for a cup of tea after we returned to the hotel after dinner, which was obviously not available until the following morning.
Our room was very comfortable. We were tucked away on the second floor, so it was very quiet and private. All the hotel staff staff ‘clock-off’ at 9pm and the guests are left alone with a phone number and the run of the hotel, which was a little odd but also quite good fun!!

Cayman IslandsThe bed was a bit small, we had one of the suites ( I can't recall the room name), the room extremely at night extremely warm, even with the fan provided and porch door open. Rather surprised that they don't have a restaurant except for breakfast, yes they did write us prior notifying us and gave suggestions but for £300 per night it would have been nice. We would definitely stay here again even with these little problems but during cooler seasons.
Staff are fantastic, the hotel grounds stunning , rooms clean and decorated beautifully, sheets very comfortable and in a great location. They don't advertise it but they do have a slow charging stn for your EV for a small charge, which was very handy.
