I've never seen such a vast choice of cooked breakfasts in a B&B. We loved the eggs Benedict and mushroom omelettes, full English - everything in fact. The bed was extremely comfortable and the decor interesting and attractive. Our hosts were very hospitable.

We had a brilliant stay at Ellen house. Anne and Jon are amazing, very friendly and the breakfast was brilliant. Will definitely stay here again. Location is brilliant, can walk straight into town or even walk into matlock bath ( takes around 30 mins) or train station is about a minute walk away 😊

Really enjoyed staying at this bed and breakfast. Ran by a lovely couple, the room had everything we could want, the food was amazing including personal touches like homemade flapjack in the rooms, and homemade jam at breakfast. Will definitely recommend this place to friends and family.

Room, facilities and hospitality were second to none in this quiet, family run residence. The attention to detail was impressive and our room/bathroom very clean and well appointed. Breakfast was great and afforded a good variety of homemade and locally sourced produce. Located just 5 mins walk to town centre and railway station. Really cannot fault and will return.

The bathroom felt a little small, but it didn't detract from the overall stay and served its purpose.

There was nothing to dislike about this beautiful b&b Anne and John were an absolute pleasure the room was second to none and very clean with everything we needed also a beautiful choice of breakfast where nothing was to much trouble .

That the b&b was in a perfect location to where we needed to be Anne and John are very knowledgeable about the area and couldn't do enough for us we also had an upgrade to our room which was beautifully clean with everything we needed.It was an absolute pleasure to stay there. We would highly recommend this lovely b&b a home from home .

Very clean throughout, breakfast was really good, the staff were absolutely amazing and the place in general was very homely. I had a few things to ask and the hosts helped me in every way possible. Well worth the money and a really enjoyable experience which I recommend to everyone this is a place definitely worth visiting and staying at.
