Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomFar too many stairs for my elderly father but this was partly my fault for not requesting a ground floor room or checking on lift situation. Felt like we were in a shared house because we were not in the main section of the hotel so probably missed out on some of the other hotel facilities.
Location was fabulous, quiet with a lovely garden view. Room was small but view more than made up for this. We didn't eat breakfast so cannot comment. Loved the mini Molton Browns.

ItalyThe rooms "courtyard view" are not in the main building but in a sort of recently built dépendance buildings behind the main one with no view. This should be better specified to avoid misurdenstandings.
Very clean. Staff very kind and strategic position.

PolandMy room was on the lower floor, with a window facing a window of another room—not more than 1 meter from it. The area between the windows was heavily lit at night; despite heavy curtains, an annoying brightness came into the room from even the smallest gap between the curtains. The hotel is located a bit off bus routes and tube stations; the closest grocery is also a 10-minute walk.
The room was clean, with a comfortable bed and a newly refurbished bathroom. It had a spacious wardrobe, a reasonable-sized desk to work at, and an overall room size bigger than the 'London standard'. Friendly and helpful staff, nice breakfast at the campus at a reasonable price. Quiet surroundings with lots of green.

United KingdomThird floor room was up very narrow windy staircase. The bathroom door opened up against the bed - a little cramped.
Very comfortable bed in nicely decorated room. Very quiet overlooking the gardens in the square. Loved that we could open the window for some fresh air at night. Recommendation for dinner from lovely guy at reception - Ciao Bella on Lamb's Conduit St. Book ahead - they are always busy!

United KingdomNot enough time to visit College or Foundling museum.
Great central location with a quiet boutique appeal. Had dinner in Brunswick square 5min walk. Grab #N38 bus (4min walk) to ANZAC dawn memorial at Hyde Park corner (04.30). Then short walk later in the day to #168 bus to Waterloo stn. Big savings on taxis & feet. Staff very helpful and genuine as always.

United KingdomThe area is very quiet so be prepared to walk towards food! The hotel is split into houses, and Georgian houses loved a staircase. But it is beautiful overall
The room was beautiful but you better believe it when they say there are steep stairs up to it if you're up on the fourth floor! The bed was super comfortable and I really felt safe and cosy in my room.

FranceThis is much more a pension than a Hotel For me ' Hotel' means a proper restaurant or café inside the Hotel, and entrance Lobby . You enter in a large house with private rooms, you feel in a Airbnb Lobby & public areas are bad
