Breakfast I expected it to be basic , gone off juice was not nice, went & had breakfast elsewhere

Was reading poor reviews after my booking I was worried, on arrival was very welcoming from staff, room was very clean, clean sheets, towels & bathroom was clean with shower, no coffee or tea in room & breakfast was very minimal, coffee weak @ juice was off, location was great 5min walk to Oxford street, very pleasant stay so don’t be put off by bad reviews, would stay again

The en suite to the room wasn’t clean when I arrived, there was a dirty shoe print in the shower and a questionable stain on the bathroom floor. Nobody came into my room while I was staying to replenish anything, and the tea coffee etc were not topped up before my stay, so I believe they had not done a through clean/service of the room between guests which is concerning.

The location and outside of the hotel were perfect for my trip and I felt safe in the area as a woman travelling alone. The bed was comfortable enough but a bit creaky

Beautiful building and has plenty of potential but appeared to have had a revamp at some point and needed some repairs in the room we stayed in.

The staff were polite and the location was accessible to eateries and the public transport options.

I have paid £195 for one night stay, the rate is much more higher than average market rate, but I only got limited options for my breakfast, there are no fruits, no vegetables and no meats.

The location is great, staff was friendly and helpful.

Bed was OK for one night. The breakfast was not available at 07:30 as advertised. Perhaps opened up 15-30 minutes later by which time I had decided to skip it. Curtains could do with being sun blocking. I was given a code to use to enter the building but upon arrival there was nowhere to enter the code. Fortunately when I pressed the doorbell someone arrived. In general an odd setup with "irregular reception times".

The room was small but clean. Good shower and bathroom.

Breakfast was a bowl of pastries and coffee. The floor covering was broken. At first we were on the 1nd floor but then it was changed by the manager and put on the 2rd floor.

Lock on door faulty, couldn’t lock. No duvet on beds, just ( very clean crisp sheets) and a thin throw cover. So in March that wasn’t warm enough, and no extra blankets etc in room.

Breakfast was poor. Coffee and tea cold, reheated in clear ordinary kettles- on display at main breakfast table to re-boil (as a normal electric kettle would) Rather dangerous as all the coffee boiled over the table.

The good location of the hotel and the cost of the hotel made it a good stop over spot for an evening. The room was clean and all basic facilities were good. It lived up to expectations.

No room service, shower was very slow. A pungent smell coming from water. Towels were not changed everyday. Bed was not bed everyday. The breakfast is really bad. There is nothing just a few breads and tea and coffee.

I couldn't get into the hotel ! I arrived exhausted at 23.00, having travelled by train from Berlin. The hotel's front door was locked and no-one answered the bell or knocker. There was an emergency telephone number on the door but no-one answered that, or the 3 messages I left. I could also not get through to Booking.com, which was extremely disappointing. I'm a 68 year old man and this was very stressful; for a lone woman or someone with disabilities, it could have been really disastrous. At the 4th attempt, I finally got through to the emergency phone number and was able to get in via 2 key safes. A great shame because everything else about my stay was very good.

Serious security issues, female traveling alone, no message sent re PIN code to access room after hotel was locked up for the night, female who answered emergency number said "this is not a 24hr helpline" of course not but its is an emergency number and I didn't have access to my room, which is an EMERGENCY, left standing outside for 50 mins late at night because she wouldn't answer my call. Had to get my husband to call from a different number for her to answer and give me access to my room at 10.30pm. Room was clean but bed very uncomfortable, no duvet, blankets which I presume aren't washed on every occasion was very uncomfortable. Shower fitting was broken and had to hold the spray to shower, reported this on my 1st day but nothing was done. Breakfast very poor and didn't eat there.

Radiator was stuck on full blast, must have been a faulty TRV, fortunately the aircon was working! The little TV in the room had no aerial lead so was no use.

They never pick the phone up and the answering machine was full for six weeks. When I was there the phone rang and the machine said it was full with the receptionist next to it. Very frustrating when you have important quetions

On arrival, we were given a key to a room that was already occupied. Security issue!?!? We returned to reception where we got a blank look and had to confirm her mistake. No password code issued for room. Still struggled to get on WiFi when we found the password. Serving of breakfast was haphazard 😕 UHT milk, we would expect fresh milk. No fresh fruit. No water served.
