The food was a massive let down, very little gluten free options. When they offered to try and accommodate they offered me a piece of fish, perfect, I asked to have it with a side of new potatoes and greens (which were on the menu) however I was brought a meal off the restaurant menu, this was at a much higher cost, and was ok nothing special. We felt like we often would be asked what we wanted, we gave the answer and then not listened to. Breakfast was ok, they did have an issue with the electrics in the kitchen so this might have been the reason for that.

The style of the hotel is done very well, the staff were friendly, the receptionist and barman great. The room was lovely with a coffee bed.

Room description said view of inner courtyard. This translates to window at the back covered in obscuring sticky paper to stop view of whatever was at the back !

We loved everything

The hotel was great with amazing views across the reservoir. My dog was made to feel really welcome too! Breakfast, lunch and dinner were absolutely amazing!

Breakfast Sunday was rushed and the order was sloppy and incorrect, nothing major and didn't impact my 10/10 score!

We love the location of the hotel,the views and surrounding area is so scenic and is perfect for walking or just rest and relaxation in tranquil surroundings. The rooms are gorgeous, very spacious. The decor is amazing and we always seemed to spot something new when we left the rokm! The beds are very comfortable aswell!! Saturday morning breakfast was superb, locally sourced produce and you could taste the quality with every mouthful. We booked dinner for Saturday evening, again the quality of the food was superb. My steak was cooked perfectly. Its was a taste sensation! Highly recommended in every capacity!

As mentioned above the boxed cereals did not match the expectations of the Hotel, would have liked to have seen Muesli or Granola home made, nothin wrong with Kelloggs just not what we expected.

we arrived to a warm welcome, check in was smooth and no issues, our room was on the top floor, quirky lay out but nice, huge comfy bed tea coffee all you could ask for, we have drinks in the bar before changing for dinner, We ate dinner in the Brassiere, then retired to the launch for drinks, service and food was as expected of the Hotel credentials.Breakfast was served opposed to a buffet which suits our needs, shame about the boxed cereals we would have expected something different.

The bathroom and side table spaces were a bit too small.

The area and view are stunning, gorgeous walks around the reservoir with the dogs. Dinner and breakfast were delicious, especially I enjoyed my steak. Excellent wine choices.

Bedroom was too warm and couldn’t see out of the window due to the glass being covered in film to stop the view of the outside behind the hotel. Restaurant was very pricey but did serve nice food

Location was beautiful, so peaceful. Amazing views, fantastic walks. Very helpful and respectful staff. Definitely will be booking again in the future.

Beautiful hotel which was perfectly located for our visit. Fab views out onto the reservoir. Our room had a plunge bath which my usually non-bath loving husband was obsessed with! Great drinks in the bar (both selection and taste) and the food was fantastic in both the restaurant and bar. Super friendly staff who couldn’t do enough for you.
