Hotel is a bit dated. Could do with refurbishing especially the bathrooms. Communal areas are fine. Breakfast choice is limited to mostly traditional fried breakfast.

Helpful and friendly staff. Very secure with 24 hour Reception staff. Food is good although this is based on breakfast only.

We thoroughly enjoy the location of the Hotel and its pricing. For attending a local event at the sports center it is very very close for a very nice price. Walking distance as such. We even really like the bikers pub just across the way from this hotel as they seem to always have fun music going on in the evenings.

The window was overlooking a crown green bowling green and the clubhouse was being refurbished, so it was a little noisy due to the double glazed windows having seen better days. It was draughty when the curtains were open, but nothing that made me feel uncomfortably cold.

Comfortable bed, clean linen and towels. Very helpful staff, great fresh cooked breakfast. There was a buffet of cereals, fruit and yogurt. Bread options and a toaster. It was quite close to local amenities, public transport and a pubs, but far enough distance so as not to disturb a good night’s sleep. Plenty of parking spaces and easy to find.

On our recent stay ,It’s not cleaned properly,smells of cigarette as we arrived ie beddings,tv remote control,side table etc,dust in the carpet. The heating was switched off on our first morning but rectified on our 2nd morning as we did complain

The corridor had a leaky roof and there was plastic containers put down to catch the water not a good impression also cobwebs in the bathroom and windows which was noticeable when drawing the curtains.

Bed was really comfortable liked the tea,coffee and biscuits also shower gel’s etc nice touch,Cosey room and plenty of hot water.

It looked like a community centre and the bathroom was unclean in places.

The property was central to Coalville which we needed but it was over priced for the facilities. The staff were helpful and friendly and the bed was very comfortable but the room was not very clean, especially in the bathroom.

The bathroom could have been improved upon. The extractor fan wouldn't switch off. It wasn't a problem as it couldn't be heard with the bathroom door closed.

The service I received at the Hermitage was simply the best I've ever had at a hotel. The lady on reception that took my call about a late check in, was so friendly and reasuring, especially as I was trying to organise an arrival past midnight, due to my work. I actually ended up calling her twice, and I had such a good experience with her on the phone that I was completely reassured. Then when I actuially arrived at about 12.40am, after a long drive, I imagined the night receptionist not even being there, despite her reassurance he would be, but low and behold, he was just as friendly as the lady on the phone, and knew all about my late arrival situation. I was honestly so impressed, especially having come from a job in Birmingham that evening, where I was so disappointed by the service I had received at the event I was at. I never usually write these kind of reviews, but I was compelled to after those great interactions I had with the staff. The room was fine, a little cold as the window didn't shut properly, and it was pretty basic, but for me, when the service is that good, and you feel like the employees care about your stay, little things that aren't quite right don't matter at all.
