Caravan: Some repairs are needed: A few of the window latches are either stiff or broken, or just not there. One of the bathroom ones is missing, and bedroom ones really stiff. The gate needs fixing. We went with a 1 year old and the gate can be blown open, so a repair to the gate to make it more secure. WiFi is advertised but it dropped out a few times and when it was working, it was extremely slow. Was quicker to use 4G mobile data. Provided some useful things apart from toilet paper, so would have been handy to have toilet paper but luckily I came prepared. Park itself: There is no where that advertises what time the restaurant opens. We wanted breakfast so got down there for about 8, to find no one to ask as the shop / reception doesn't open till 8:30. Then found breakfast served at 9. So it was hanging around, so we didn't eat there for breakfast again. Same with the pool, you have to queue up the morning you want to swim to ask if you can book in for swimming. Otherwise the park is in a nice location, great base. Just feel like information was missing. Maybe because we didn't check in there? So either caravan needs that info or the park needs to advertise.

The caravan is lovely! Felt spacious, clean and I love the communication we had from the owners. They got in touch before our stay, and really made us feel like this was going to be a good holiday. They provided some necessities like washing up liquid, towels, hand soap. When we went away last year we had none of that so we were over prepared. A lovely touch. Overall a lovely caravan and the facilities and the park were a good base.

Good value for money, clean and well equipped. Very decent for an older caravan. Comfortable beds with fresh bed linen on them. Nice site, great clubhouse. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Another great stay at Hillside Caravan Dawlish, clean, comfortable, owners messages are so friendly, easy to contact if needed. Love that it is on the quieter side of the park, just right size for family, great having 2 loos.

There's no negatives with the van its great value, If you've visited this site before you'll know about the hills.... if not there's a few hills if your walking (bear this in mind if youve a pushchair or wheel chair).

It was clean, quiet and peaceful. I was grateful that my booking was accepted so late in the evening. Everyone was friendly. The receptionist at the main facility was lovely and very accommodating. There was a warm swimming pool for the kids to enjoy. It was only a few minutes drive from the seaside, also walkable.

We think the caravan needs a little tlc. The pull out bed smelt mouldy and could not be used and the cushions above were a little grubby. One of the taps was loose on the wash basin in the toilet. Outside the latch on the gate was broken and only kept closed with a stone, not ideal with a near two year old child. The garden chairs were also dated.

Location on site and for the surrounding area. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The bed linen and towels provided were nice and clean. Communication was excellent from the owners who gave very clear advice and directions.

Caravan a bit tired. Ice trays needed, site shop didnt have any bags of ice so had to go to another caravan park to buy. Need a decent frying pan! Very lightweight bedding on doubles, had to ask for blankets which were then supplied.

No complaints about the caravan the rooms are small but fine for a short break with the kids. Be aware the indoor pool in the entertainment complex is fairly small (the outdoor pool was closed) so we went to the local leisure centre pool instead which is a short drive away. Try and download the Park app before you get to the site as we couldn't get it to work on site (as the internet signal was weak due to the weather). We did find that when walking with kids around the site we had to be quite careful as some people drove too fast.

Clean comfortable caravan, good for an inexpensive short break. We found the part of the site we were in quiet and it was great to be able to leave the car and walk into Dawlish Warren and get to the beach. The park is very well located. We really liked Dawlish Warren itself.
