Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SwedenHigh cholesterol breakfast, but inevitable when it comes to hotel breakfast in England. On our second night the fire alarm went off 5.30 in the morning, all the hotel guests rushed out into the corridor only to find out it was a false alarm. However we couldn’t go to sleep again and that day was partly ruined. Asked for a 20% refund for that particular night, but my request was dismissed. However it is not too late, the hotel management should look into the matter again and I will give the hotel the 10 point rating I would have given the hotel if it hadn’t been for this faulty fire alarm system.

United KingdomBreakfast was very busy around 8.30 and a bit chaotic. I would recommend earlier or later visit to the Breakfast area.
Friendly and helpful staff. Hotel is handy for Northern Quarter culture. We walked to the New Century in 20 minutes.

United KingdomLack of mushrooms & Fried eggs. Also kept running out of Hashbrowns.
Checking in was easy, met by a really friendly colleague who checked us in early. Room was clean but some marks on the carpet. Breakfast was good but not superb. No Mushrooms or Fried eggs. Bar staff very friendly and helpful. Located in the Northern Quarter so easy to walk to the Arndale Centre. If staying over the weekend and you want a Sunday Roast. Try the FireHouse Just round the corner. We had a Beef one and it was amazing.

United KingdomBooked for me & my daughter to go see Olivia Rodrigo concert which got cancelled, so went anyway for a girly shopping trip. Room was lovely & comfortable. Rooms & corridors quiet. Breakfast was really good. Staff were friendly & efficient. 2 minute walk up the street from apcoa parking. 3 minute walk back down to centre, shops & Arndale centre. We felt safe in & around the hotel, lots of full pubs with hen / stag dose on & lots of police, but all fun & we obvs didn't go in any pubs.

United KingdomThe car parking situation is not clear in the booking. There is no on site parking. Instead you have to use the nearby multi-story car park. In itself that's fine, except that you're meant to get a discount via the hotel. The problem is that you have to prebook it through the web site, and it simply didn't work. In the end I just paid the full amount for daily parking, so parking for 4 nights became pretty expensive, about £25/day. It also means that you can't come and go as you pay when you leave. Use of a public car park is really a good idea, but it doesn't work as well in this case. Also the breakfast - go early, it gets a little crazy otherwise.

United KingdomDisappointed that the hotel doesn't do a basic food menu like some other Holiday Inn Expresses. Was in room 803 so was looking forward to a nice view of the city, unfortunately I had a nice view of the cladding opposite.
Very friendly & attentive staff. Directed me to the Crown Plaza next door where I was able to get an evening meal and charge it back to my room. Crown Plaza is part of IHG Group. I have been a member for about 10 years and never knew this!
