Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Housekeeping could be better. Rooms could be cleanad better. Our room was twice forgotten to be cleaned in 7 days.
Location was perfect, bus stations right in front the hotel, victoria statition just 7 minutes away. Very comfortable beds, lovely staff.

My only issue was the lack of space. We were sharing a twin room both with a suitcase and we had hardly anywhere to put our kit. Not even under the beds so we had to shove the suitcases by the door and then keep bending down to get anything. There was a huge wasted space below where you hang clothes that could have some storage. It made the room permanently messy which I hate.
Location was good, not too noisy at night for London. It was clean and the staff are really friendly and professional.

Unfortunately, I stayed in the basement. I didn't sleep well any of the days and also rested little due to the noise next to the room: it was the breakfast room, the room was literally next to that room, so you could hear the sound of children, dishes, passage area. I was forced to buy earplugs. It was very disturbing, but the stay was short. I also noticed that the room price went down on the day I checked in. I hope to return, but I will request explicitly to stay in another room.
Very well-located hotel, the area is great (a 10-minute walk from Victoria Station). The staff is equally very friendly and attentive. Check-in was quick and went smoothly, as did the check-out. Regarding the room: small but comfortable; the bed and pillows were very comfortable; bathroom renovated and sanitized.

The lift was a bit smelly and frankly grotty. On arrival, I was told I needed I.D.i. said I don't carry my passport when in England, I.e. at home, and all I had were credit and debit cards and my coach card. She said she still needed I D .so I said I have booked and paid for a 2 night stay, so what were they doing about it ? She said she would let it go this time. I have seen other places that say bring photo I d. I have, and it's not been looked at . There is nothing on my paperwork as far as I can see, so this needs making clear beforehand if it's required.
It was clean , great value for money in a great location. Staff mostly showed great attention to detail and any needs raised were dealt with ASAP.

The stream of the shower was really bad, the bed was kind of small. You could look under the door into the hallway. The floor was dirty and the room was really hot.

Weird smell in the room The rooms next door were going through refurbishment therefore It was a little noisy Room is good for 2 night stay as the room Is a little small

The vacuuming not far from the room at 6 am on a Saturday morning and again the Monday morning…
