Excellent location a short walk from town centre. Warm welcome (repeat visit). Good basic food at reasonable prices. Lovely walk along river side. Comfortable bed with views of Ilkley Moor.

Add croissants to bread basket.I am gluten sensitive can't eat bread. There were no substitute s.

Bedding was clean but very tired and needs to be replaced. Same applies to towels that were way too small and well used and scratchy and again need to be replaced.

Not a real complaint but the whole building through to the passages and bedrooms smelled of fish and chips/food .Our clothes smelled of food when we departed . Shower was very poor pressure

Cobwebs in the light fitting on the river side wall. Cobwebs in our room near the head end of the mattress. No glasses for water. Did expect bottles of water and biscuits. Never like 2 mattresses as a double. Shower room cold. Mucky velux. Shower changing temperature.

Breakfast great. The car park good. The dinning room and bar good. Open fire in the bar area fantastic. The staff friendly. Room 11 warm. Plenty of space.

The room was a bit dusty, although clean in other aspects. The bed quilts were small and not overly warm so we had to use blankets as well.

Good natured and friendly staff, lovely breakfasts, great position beside River Wharf. Overall impressive feeling of warmth and cosiness especially during the exceptionally wet weather encountered during our stay. We will return.

The description and details Booking.com provided for the room was not correct. The room we were given was an attic room and also nice and comfortable it was not one of the larger rooms with facilities identified by Booking.com. All standard double rooms were the same price so we had not been charge wrongly for the room. If we return we will book direct to ensure our room choice. Our score reflects that and not the hotel.

Location was excellent next to the Riverside Park. A short walk into town. Good facilities attached to the hotel i.e good bar with food. Attached fish and chips, snacks, coffee takeaway we think is ran by the family business. Outside seating and Alfresco Bar and Restaurant. Breakfast was good , we had a lunchtime meal in the bar which was good value. We are out in the evening. The bar supports a good selection of real ales which is good to see. Staff were very friendly and the chap who took us to our room and then worked behind the bar ( and other associate roles within the business ) went out of his way to offer us information and make us welcome. Also the lady who I suspect was the owner (sorry did not catch her name) served us breakfast was also very friendly and helpful.

I had to ask for the yoghurt for breakfast and other fruit besides the prunes offered would have been good. The dining room is a bit gloomy. Some more colour would help.

Had an evening meal which was hot and good. The breakfast was more than I wanted, good choice of cereals, plenty of bread to toast. (I didn’t have anything cooked) Friendly service.

The room was very hot and windows couldn’t be left open because of flies coming in. Installation of a screen - perhaps a temporary one if it’s just an issue in the summer - would be very helpful to allow for better airflow.

Lovely location right by the riverside and the park, with very friendly and accommodative staff. Food in the restaurant was great - perfect fish and chips and a really good pint of proper Yorkshire bitter.
