Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe original sash window in my room didn't fit well and rattled within the frame in the wind but this was quickly solved by jamming some paper between the window and the frame so it couldn't move.
The location is beautiful and a lovely walk from the centre of town along the sea road. The decor was bold and interesting, the room was large, the bed comfortable and the shower effective. The breakfast was not extensive but was very good.

United KingdomFluctuating temperature of shower, a longish slog up the hill from the conference centre and a breakfast that was limited though good on quality.
Nice, spacious and well appointed single room. Quiet with very comfortable bed. Lovely dining area overlooking gardens opposite cliff view of sea. Also has parking and great WiFi. Helpful staff. Nice feel.

United KingdomThe bars choice of beer was very sparse, the majority of ghd staff were very friendly and helpful especially the guy who checked us in, the cleaning staff and the chap assisting in the mornings with breakfast.
The location was very good, we were there for the air show and it couldn’t have been in a better position.

United States of AmericaThe outside and the common spaces were a bit shabby. The restaurant and garden space was closed. To get to the beach, it was a bit far to the nearest stairs. When I asked to leave my bag after check out, it was placed in a room that other guests had easy access to so that didn’t feel super safe. For the price, I expect a bit more.
The room was updated and modern. It was comfortable and clean. I was able to walk from the train and walk in to town.

United KingdomVery dated. No lifts, had to carry bags up the stairs. Very noisy, uncomfortable and squeaky bed. Never found the bar open, so no hydration point. Bathroom ceiling loose. We stayed for 4 nights.
Location between Boscombe and Bournemouth piers, perfect. Sea view room. Very powerful shower. Rooms cleaned really well and topped up tea/coffee everyday. Garden at the back were kept tidy.

United KingdomThe £10 charge for parking per day.
We've returned to the hotel as a couple and enjoyed it just as much. The breakfast was plentiful both continental and traditional. We like the location of the hotel, walking distance to Bournemouth Pier or Boscombe Pier (1mile). Special mention to Vince and Paul who made our stay more enjoyable.

United KingdomThe outside looked a little shabby but i guess it is a huge property to paint. There were hardly any staff so no restaurant facilities or bar staff,if you wanted a drink you had to go to reception.
The location was good for access to beaches and walks and gardens were nice with a great view...the few staff we encountered were polite and very, very helpful. Clean room and easy check in/check out, hotel had parking.

United KingdomLack of bar and restaurant
Good location and spotlessly clean everywhere. Room was comfortable but a bit on small side. Lovely big bed and good quality bed linen but terrible pillows! Staff were few and far between but efficient when we found someone. We were disappointed by lack of restaurant and proper bar. The bar was open early evening (staffed by receptionist who did a good job multi tasking). Bar closed on the dot of 10pm for residents (open later at weekends but didn’t help us staying Sunday to Wednesday). Good value but will spend a bit more next time to get a proper ‘hotel’ experience.

AustraliaWas a little further from town (walking distance) than I anticipated just over 1 mile. You can however to go one of the other hotels within short walking distance for dinner.
The hotel itself a beautiful building and the main dining rooms are really lovely, even has a library. The room was small, bit comfortable for one night, bed on the firm side. Nice deep bath tub if you would like a soak. Located right across the road from the walkway down to the beach and the pier about 15-20 mins walk to pier, you might even see the local goats on the way. Staff were very accommodating and friendly. Recommended a lovely cafe for lunch called Norwegian Wood, well worth a visit with lots of Beatles memorabilia. Parking on site at the hotel. Whilst we did not have breakfast it looked really good.
