Sadly no parking at the property but plenty of long stay car parking nearby.

Nothing we didn't like .parking maybe but wasn't an issue, plenty of carparks in the area and well explained by the hosts.

The location is perfect, Karen is a wonderful host, and her breakfast is delicious .. The rooms are cleaned every day, and all refreshments topped up daily ,including bottled water.

There was nothing I didn't like

The house was just off the main street but still nice.and quiet. The family were friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious. Not only did we have a large English breakfast there was additional toast and cereal if you wanted. One of the best B and B's Ive stayed in for comfort and location. In the room there were additional cookies and chocolate bars for us each and hot chocolate not just the usual tea.and coffee. In the fridge on the landing we had additional milk and water stored for our room.

I found the shower temperamental - difficult to set and maintain a temperature.

The host was very friendly and proximity to the train station was fantastic. It was also close to the village. I am not a breakfast person but, if you are, they offered beautifully fresh cooked breakfasts included in the room rate. I also found the bed really comfy and I appreciated the coffee, hot chocolate, squash, cookies and chocolate in the room.

The staff was welcoming and very considerate of the client. They do their best to ensure the client's comfort. I love their dog, which is so friendly and lovely. It's quite a place and provides a peaceful rest.

The only suggestion of improvement was we felt the bed mattress was too soft/too much give resulting in waking up 'achey'.

The Kirkgate was a lovely place to stay, they thought of everything, the room was comfy and very clean.The owners were very friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough to make sure you had a perfect stay. The breakfast was amazing and hot, lots of choice too. We would definitely stay there again, it is in a great location for all the local sightseeing.

The main light in the bedroom could have been brighter- for those times when you need to see something clearly, like medication instructions. It would have been nice to have a choice of duvet weight, though this isn’t something I’ve ever encountered. I’m always too hot.

The location is very convenient for the town. The food was excellent- a good choice and well prepared. Everyone was very friendly and helpful without being intrusive.

Weather was against us as it was very wet and windy, the rain pounding the velux window made for a poor nights sleep
