The only thing I didn't like was the bar closed very early and did not open until 12 so you just have the option of the vending machines

From the moment we stepped in the door the lady on the desk was absolutely lovely and very helpful she set up the bouncy castle just for my son he was delighted as he didn't think she would as he was the only child around at that time, the dinner was delicious, for breakfast there was a number of options pancakes, croissants, cereal, fruit, yogurt and hot counter with sausages, bacon etc. The beds were very comfortable. The swimming pool is heated so it was really nice they have floats, pool noodles and beach balls for the kids to use. Over all we had a fantastic stay I'd definitely recommend this hotel if you have a car to travel as it is 15 minutes away from the town and any shops so a car would be needed as I didn't see any bus stops around.

Although clean and spacious the room we had was in need of updating with holes in paint work marks and dents on furniture. The spa men’s changing areas had alot of out of order lockers and look tired.

The staff were amazing and the pool Area communal areas were exceptional

No electric car charge points in the car park. Difficult to control the temperature in the room and it was cold at night!

Friendly staff. Large hotel, facilities were good but not the most modern. Breakfast was great.

Food was expensive and could have done with a separate lunch menu, especially when there is only 1 restaurant open when we stayed. Breakfast was disappointing quality of food was average. Toaster did not toast even after 3 run thoughts. Having to ask to get alternative other than fried eggs and then wait on them was a bit annoying. Something different for the kids like pancakes would have been good as it was the Halloween break. Would have been nice to have more space in a room with 4 people. Hotel felt run down since we last stayed. The pool area again run down and tired looking, did not feel very welcome with our 2 kids by what we can only assume were the country club members.

Friendly staff, food was of good quality.

Room smelt quite damp. Door had to be slammed shut (loudly) to get it to engage the lock property. One of our two keys didn’t work right away- each time we reset at reception the staff assumed we were keeping close with our phones and were quite rude about it. Found out at the end that each time one key was reset it meant the other key was not usable. Surely they could have told us both keys need to come back

The leisure centre and breakfast were good. Nice location for a wedding. Dinner in the restaurant was good

Heating was on full pelt when we arrived meaning the room was stifling hot. There was mould growing up the wall at window area, and causing wall to seem crumbly. When we were leaving we said to the receptionist, who actually didn’t seem very interested

Bed comfy, room generally clean. Pool good, breakfast lovely

The doors didn't close properly so all night we were kept up with people slamming doors. The keycard worked on first entry but failed to work beyond once.

Having access to the pool definitely made the stay more cost effective.

The pool area could do with a revamp. The tiles near the jacuzzi were black - quite off-putting. The rails near the loungers were wobbly when I leaned for support. The changing area showers need some attention. The curtains were hanging off in the cubicles. The soap dispenser was missing, and in another, it was empty. We were supposedly in a premier room, the size was comfortable but the bed was quite dipped in the centre, not particularly comfortable. The bedroom windows were not clean inside, the net curtains mildewed in the corner, and one of the handles on the window was broken. On departure, we were completely ignored. The reception staff was too busy talking with a colleague. My young son handed over the key cards and said we are going home now. He repeated this three times before getting a brief reaction and goodbye. The staff then returned to their chat! This was the most annoying thing, actually, which has now led me to bring up the afore issues. I did not bring these things to the attention of the staff while we were there, as I just wanted to enjoy the short time we had there. If our room was supposed to be premier, I am certainly glad I did not book the standard room. Overall, it turned out to be a disappointing visit. Not value for money.

The room was spacious. Breakfast was good. We were made to feel welcome on arrival and really appreciated our request for late checkout being granted. Shame we did not see this staff member the remainder of our stay. The bottled water and complimentary biscuits and teabags were appreciated. The reception hall was decorated beautifully and smelled so fresh when we left. Possibly for the wedding celebrations but the flowers in basket on the bike were lovely.
