I could find little fault with the property.

Inviting entrance to reception. Clean and modern Looking. I loved the balcony overlooking the golf course.

By time I arrived restaurant closed and did not want to pay the exorbitant room service charges so mentioned that I would order food delivery to be told not allowed! Ended up not eating at all. Disappointing.

Currently building works going on and started 7am - I don’t mind as up early but may not suit if you want to lie in ! Extra £25 charge if you wish to use spa but that is understandable to keep the area nice

The shower was over the bath. It was difficult for me to climb in. I’m 78 and short. These days people expect walk in showers.

Balcony not very private if someone is in the room next to you. Only 1 bedside lamp.

Balcony with lovely views, looking over golf course and trees in the distance. Food was great, not " fine dining" just well cooked, well presented and very tasty, just perfect. This is not a new, modern hotel but has all you need and is very clean .

My wife's breakfast was cold on one morning. Dinner specials board didn't change during our stay.

Having to pay half upfront - unusual nowadays. Also £10 to use the pool even as a resident - we declined. No glasses in the room.

Having to pay extra for spa usage, expensive fornuse of pool and steam room. Also, the hairdryer in the room was not good, I had to kneel on the floor to use it

It was cold . The weather was awful and the rooms were cold.

Nice room , comfortable bed apart from the headboard which had a ledge that made it very uncomfortable to sit up as it digs into your neck .

Not being able to use the spa facilities even when you’ve booked a room. It was £25 extra per person which is too much. Other spa hotels include the facilities .

Absolutely beautiful setting / location .. lovely views…Nice choice of breakfast but cold , as obviously left under hot plate. Hash browns very cold . No flexibility to swap any breakfast items. Disappointing in such a nice hotel.

No desk level sockets in the room, no usb sockets, good shower but shower curtains are just so wrong for a modern hotel. We wanted a early start on Sunday, the hotel confirmed breakfast started 0700 but it didn’t arrived until 0800.

The bathroom was looking a little tired. The breakfast could have much nicer and more varied options. Greek yogurt, fresh or tinned fruit and muesli/granola. Also more interesting breads.

The location overlooking the golf course and countryside. Staff helpful and responsive. The meal in the evening was excellent.
