We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

On arrival we were upgraded to a wonderful apartment next door. We had originally booked 2 rooms. The apartment was well equipped, comfortable and large enough for 4 adults, plenty of tea coffee and milk. The attention to detail was excellent,beautifully decorated throughout. We hadn’t booked breakfast, however decided on the morning we would like breakfast which did not disappoint and reasonably priced.

We were unexpectedly upgraded to the apartments at Derwent House, where the decor and facilities were exceptional. The staff went out of the way to be helpful. Always smiling and willing to help. They made us feel like valued customers. Breakfasts were fab too!

United KingdomBeing an attic room it was extremely hot, but we were having a heatwave in September! Had fan though.
We were upgraded from the Maynard to Roundtree Lodge, the sister hotel around the corner. Modern decor, looks like it may have been recently redecorated. Room clean and comfortable, although very hot! But, we did have a fan. Excellent breakfast. Staff friendly and helpful. Good location near the Esplanade, so a short walk to restaurants, etc.

We booked into the Maynard but we’re upgraded on check in so not sure what it was like. We stayed at Rowntree Lodge around the corner and it was a lovely spacious room. Very comfortable large bed and good amenities. We didn’t pay for breakfast as it was only 8-9am, but downstairs becomes a cafe after 9am so we had breakfast there at a time that suited us. Very nice it was too!

We were actually upgraded from the Maynard to one of their apartments next door as some of the hotel rooms were having electrical problems. I can't actually say much anything the hotel as we were never in it, but the apartment was superb - beautifully furnished and it had everything provided that you could possibly want. We went from thinking we were going to be sharing a twin room to having a room each and bathroom each. We had breakfast about 50 yards away in another property they owned and it was 10/10 for quality and variety.
