In need of deep clean in some areas; bedroom carpets badly marked, some redecorating or replacing needed through bedroom and bathroom. Pool out of order/not able to use so disappointing but things do go wrong and glad they are careful.

System of hanging a note on the door to advise that room clean is needed is open to abuse. Had to request a clean as it wasn't done. Someone had turned the hanger around from how I left it.

Very expensive. Although all staff really tried their best we had a massive delay checking in & and the service in the restaurant was like fawlty towers.

Really grubby in parts due to wear and tear. Black mould ingrained in the showers in the pool area and carpets throughout where old and stained. Mattresses were also very poor quality.

Pool and spa were nice and the hotel was quiet and comfortable.

I stayed with my 5 year old son so he could go swimming as we he had fractured his toes & had cast off so swimming was the first thing he wanted to do. These other guests staying there shouted at my son to be quiet in the changing room as he asked me if he could use the hair dryer!!! They slated me because i told them not to talk to my son in that manner! And to go to an adult only place if didnt want kids around. My son was very upset as he is very sensitive. And wanted to go home. Other guests went to reception and complained about how they spoke to me and my son & they were apologetic. However it ruined our stay and we didnt get compensated for any of it.

Disappointed that neither bar served cocktails. The bar open after 5pm is like an American diner with plastic seats. Not a very romantic setting. A bit Weatherspoon's really. The restaurant menu was a bit Hungry Horse rather than a proper restaurant although the food we did have was nice enough.

The staff were exceptional. The Duty Manager was absolutely lovely. The room was very large and exceptionally clean. The corridors getting there - not so pleasant.

The phone didn’t work in the room. The lighting was bad. There was no view and people would walk past the window. No air con and the fan was dusty. The room was dusty. No soap in the dispenser.

The staff were all wonderful. The general manager (who’s name I’m afraid I’ve forgotten) could not have been nicer as was Esther and everyone else.
