Some of the staff seemed indifferent. Poor service when trying to book spa treatments before the stay. Dinner was included in our overall price, but when ordering we were told that side dishes (e.g. vegetables) were excluded! The 'glasses' of prosecco served barely filled half a glass. These last two things made it feel like we were being nickelled and dimed which slightly took the edge of our relaxing spa weekend. As the hotel is on a golf course there are no grounds to speak of where you can walk around.

Lovely room. Spacious and clean. Beautiful bathroom. The hotel was smart, the food was very good and there is a wonderful terrace. Some of the staff gave really good service - particularly in the restaurants. Overall excellent value for money.

Room was just okay. However between reception and room there were seating areas with tables. A number of tables had been used and used glasses were left from when we arrived until late in the evening. Only cleared by the following morning

The bedroom was shabby, tiny and the radiator did not work- very cold in the room. However , when this was reported we were quickly provided with a portable radiator. The bedroom is crying out for an update .

The bed was sooo small for us, 5’11 and 6’4, we were literally sleeping with our feet hanging off and just not enough room, I had to pull the bedside right up to the bed (luckily it was the same height) and put my pillow on that also just so I had a bit of room to put my head to the side

That I paid money for the top room & i had a problem with the Tv & the jacuzzi had a slight problem from the button it leaked’ the room was also cold & had no way of us too control the temperature

Poor accessibility for disabled people. Lift not working. In the first room, the door hit the bed, and the TV was facing a wall but got resolved and upgraded us to another room. Unfortunately, no walk in shower for my partner who was disabled.

Staff were accommodating and pleasant. Especially Mandy in the restaurant, she was warm and attentive.

Being in the second room for breakfast meant that the food we had wasn’t particularly fresh. Those of our party who ate in the main breakfast room said the buffet was replenished quite often with smaller amounts of food but ours was very full and not replenished the whole time we were there for breakfast.

Great place for a wedding, room clean and comfy. The bar had a great selection and the food we had during the wedding breakfast was lovely!

Others paying half the price for room, with 3 course evening meal in with the price.

Place was very nice, however given I spent over £500 on the one night stay with meals and extras, other guests there had deals of wowcher which meant they paid a lot less for some of the services Would have returned if not for this and the response from hotel when asking about this. I would have thought guests who took advantage of other services and not just the room, would be the ideal guests the hotel would like to return.

Corridor staying on was being repainted. My daughter was getting ready for her wedding and this was an inconvenience- hotel was really busy with two weddings and a funeral party - it probably would have been better to close corridor where painting was being undertaken

Breakfast was superb although sone breakfast staff were brusque and cleared table after member of family went back up to buffet

The hotel is very dated. The bathrooms look like they haven’t been touched for 25 years. I think the tiles had baskets on them. The mattresses are very much passed their best. Paid £180 for the room which is very overpriced for the offering.

Nice looking building although I arrived in the dark and left in the dark :) Room service breakfast was really good. Staff are friendly.

Clean bathroom but half modernised with old radiator on wall Needs redec underpar with poor workmanship. Corridor is very scruffy. We expect more from a hotel of this stature costing 190.00 ,140 at best

Staff ( except one receptionist who didn't smile! ) were helpful and friendly. Breakfast and staff were great and location good.
