Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomMix up on check in with previously requested and confirmed rooms. Having to walk the length of the hotel being disabled and with heavy bags because of someone else's mistakes with no offer of help, stressed because my treatment was due was not a good start to a " relaxing" break. No spa bathrobes or slippers that I had paid for in new room. Locked out of room next day ( another walk of shame in my bath robe through a busy restaurant) bedside lights didn't work in new room, toilet didn't flush properly. Cleaning trolley left outside room till 3 pm next day. Room service Food order of almost £50 for Fish and chips and a burger 45 mins late as they had " walkins", then in the middle of eating they sent the poor guy back to retrieve the free prosecco voucher! Really!?? I'm going to spend almost 500 pounds and lie that I had a free glass of fizzy plonk that gave me indigestion all night?? You look after your paying guests first, stop chatting on reception and drinking tea and offer to help disabled people with heavy bags, get your booking system sorted out. This was very disappointing after a previous lovely stay. I won't be returning.
Lovely Spa and treatments as ever. Good quality.

United KingdomToo many tables in the thoroughfare to the breakfast buffet which was like sitting in a draughty corridor of people passing. Breakfast quality was not great and the cold options limited. A few areas could do with a refresh.

United KingdomWe chose an upgrade and stayed in room 5 at the front of the main building. Lovely room and view across the garden. All was well untill late evening on the Saturday. Please consider your guests and do not place people who are not part of the wedding party in rooms next to the wedding celebrations. The disco was so loud so no sleep till well after midnight.
Food Breakfast and Evening meals very good. Bar and reception staff friendly and helpfull.

United KingdomThere isn’t a lot to do within the hall apart from the pool and spa.
The property was beautiful and worth the property. It’s definitely a place for relaxing as the area is quiet and not a lot to do.

United KingdomI booked as a family requiring 2 rooms which were 2 floors apart! We were given a small double room as our second room (family of 5) which was newly refurbished to a high level. However, it had a partition door and we could hear the room next door's entire conversation. I asked if myself and my daughter could be moved, which they did in a heartbeat. We were moved to a larger room on the old part of the building which hadn't been updated. It was very dated and looked dirty even though it wasn't. There was a loud constant hum from the generator all night and the room was too warm because hot pipes pass through it. However, the bed was comfy!
The pool, crazy golf, beautiful gardens, family room was exceptional. We attended a wedding which was very well organised. The food was outstanding.

United KingdomTennis courts need some tlc, live band would have been 👌. Quite a long walk for a smoker if your in the spa rooms, would like a smoking area that side of the building.
Beautiful grounds, well kept for a property of age…stunning. Staff are all very pleasant.

United KingdomWe had to wait an extraordinary long time for our main course at dinner in the restaurant. When it finally came, we suspect that it had been reheated. It certainly was not worth the money paid for it. Also, the chips were just placed straight onto the tablecloth in their metal drainage container and no dish put under the gravy boat. We mentioned all of this to reception on leaving. The young lady who took our order in the restaurant was not to blame.
Nice building. Close to Locomotion. Comfortable bed and room.

United Kingdomdated rooms, my room also had a broken curtain that I didn’t notice until 8:30pm when closing them. Thor wouldn’t shut therefore I had to move rooms, although the lady on reception helped sort it quickly and was great, it was a massive inconvenience to have to pack everything up and move rooms after a long day at work travelling.
The location is good and the room sizes were good

United KingdomUnfortunately this is the second time I have stayed at the hotel… and both times my room has been downgraded due to “damage” in the room…. Although with weddings being on both times i would suggest that the wedding parties have likely been given an upgrade before I checked in. The staff were lovely about it… and provided me with two free drinks and apologised on behalf of hotel…. So it didn’t spoil our stay… but having a whirlpool bath when travelling as a couple was one of the attractions of the hotel… and I haven’t had one in two visits when that’s what i have booked….. A shame as the rest of the stay was lovely
The bar area next to spa area is very handy and relaxed. The bar staff also very friendly and helpful
