Room rather dark and limited lighting. Since it was a twin-bedded double, could have done with 2 armchairs, rather than just one. Rather limited choice of things to eat in the evening.

The breakfast was a bit of a free for all! We we asked what time we would like breakfast as there were half an hour time slots, but on arrival at 9am there were no tables free and not much buffet left. As quick as staff brought out new food, it was gone again with guests going back to help themselves multiple times! One large family were sat at their table for at least 90 minutes leaving no table space for newcomers.

The room was quite spacious and clean and the bed was comfortable. The hotel staff were friendly and work hard with the same member of staff running reception, manning the bar and bringing food orders out to guests on an evening. Free car parking facilities with plenty of spaces (remember to put your reg in the computer at reception). Overall, an enjoyable stay.

Breakfast Sunday exceptionally busy . Everything was running out with no pre empting it needed refilling. Scrambled eggs, beans, tomatoes, glasses, bread, butter.. poor waitress was very frazzled, unsurprisingly. Must have waited 10+ minutes for tomatoes and eventually gave up. Fire alarm went off around 11pm Friday night. Too late to be a test but no guidance or staff assisting. No explanation it eventually stopped and all those in the corridor that had left their rooms half dressed or in night attire went back.

We complained about a very strong drain smell in the bathroom. When we returned on Monday evening disinfectant had been sprayed but after 12hrs the smell returned. Also the water sprinkler had been covered with masking tape. Finally the signage to the hotel was non-existent.

The only thing that lets it down is the appalling coffee (typical of most hotels these days). The coffee machine dispenses warm brown water with no flavour.

Friendly, efficient and helpful staff. The room was clean and comfortable and the shower lovely and hot, with good pressure. There was ample choice for breakfast. The hotel was slightly ‘round the houses’ in the business park, but it was a quiet area.

More efficient breakfast staff, clearing the tables of used crockery and cutlery. We had to relocate to the lounge to get a seat to eat breakfast.

The staff were professional and friendly. The room was very good. Breakfast was more than sufficient. The location was everything we needed to get to other venues. The cost of the rooms for three days was very good. We will be back in the future.

There were some refurbishment works being undertaken, and despite the best efforts of all the staff, this did detract a little (but not majorly). We are looking forward to our stay later this week when everything should be back to normal.

IHG need to lift their game and provide SECURE wifi for guests, it’s a necessity for overseas travellers now. Entire lobby and kitchen area being re-tiled/carpeted, so no lifts (and the workmen were soooooo sloooow, we were there 3 nights and saw very little progress!) understand that’s beyond the scope of staff and they did what they could to help. Property felt a bit tired overall.

Nice safe location and friendly staff. Room was clean and tidy! Free breakfast with options to takeaway if needed is always a plus. There was flooring being put down while I stayed, but the staff made sure this was no inconvenience to the hotel guests, thank you for this!

A few other guests were quite noisy one night, but that's nothing that can be helped sadly.

The staff were very friendly and cheerful, and the breakfast was great. Our dog loved the breakfast especially.
