This hotel can have wedding functions on the weekend so it can be a little noisy in the lodge part of the hotel which usually caters for group stays and where I stayed, but this is only until midnight.

Stayed a few times. Well organised with excellent staff. Nice Facilities including a SPA. Food at a very good standard. Local to shops and beach. Parking Available at a reasonable charge.

Didn't need the safe in the wardrobe but would have liked a small fridge there instead. My husband needed his medication kept cool (we used the wash basin filled with cold water)

Breakfast: location is in the Hotel, you just have to walk through the courtyard/ garden, direct into breakfast room. Breakfast was superb and staff good at serving and removing plates. It's mostly self-service, including the toast machine, with freshly ground coffee. There was lots of fruit, dried fruit and seeds, as well as cereals. The small danish pastries were fresh and yummy. Room: plenty of space and had a really large bed too, bigger than a kingsize. Very comfortable, There was plenty of clothes storage. The curtains were good at keeping the light out. The windows can be opened. There is an air conditioning unit provided. Our room had a bath with shower overhead. Lots of lovely toiletries provided, and not in tiny bottles. Location: easy to get to the beach, via a path then the zig zag path down the cliff. Or walk to the town itself. Facilities: the pool, steam room, sauna and jacuzzi, and the gym. Wow wow wow! All these are available for customers of the Connaught Lodge. Go through the hotel reception and there's a lift or a spiral staircase down to the changing rooms. Although the hotel was clean it does need a bit of updating especially the corridors and stairs.

The location was very good and only a short walk away from the town. The breakfast set up was very good with a great selection of hot and cold options.

We found the drinks and food too expensive. The shower in our room was very noisy making a knocking noise

We loved that we could relax in the lounge and the spa and that it was walking walking distance to the beach. We were very aware of the staff being extra helpful and courteous.

We were up to see Saxon at the BIC do the location was perfect. The room was a reasonable rate and breakfast was superb.

The bed wasn’t that comfortable. The bathroom was a bit tired but very clean.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. In a very good position close to town and the sea. Spacious and clean room. Nice breakfast with plenty of choice.

Unfortunately they were unable to accommodate my request for a dinner reservation on my last night. Some advance notice of this would have been helpful.

The Lodge is always clean and comfortable and quieter than the main hotel. Breakfast in the hotel is always excellent. The hotel Spa is a big plus - especially the winter.

Small thing was that the toilet in our room did not stop filling, until you went back and pushed the flush two or three times. Once we worked that out it was fine.

Very nice, great facilities. Easy to find and breakfast was lovely.

Hotel is in a good location and offers value for money, a good breakfast and the use of spa facilities. Hotel was comfortable, staff were friendly and helpful. I would stay there again.

Nothing too exciting about the room, pretty bog-standard, but alright value for money. In room hot drink making facilities were pretty low quality and budget.

Great service from the restaurant and breakfast staff. Warm rooms during midwinter. Decent spa facilities with a lovely pool. The breakfast buffet did have a good selection and the coffee was very nice.
