A most enjoyable few days in the New Forest.

One member of staff mistakenly tried to charge us a second time for our stay and he didn’t seem to enjoy his role in the dining room.

Elegant, spacious and clean. Most of the staff were friendly, helpful and polite.

A boutique style hotel with a nice cosy room in a beautiful location

I expected to have an over head shower in the bathroom and did not. I know I booked a loft room, however, I didn't spot a time of booking that there was no over head shower and instead a bathtub with a hand held shower tap. The bathtub also took a very long time to fill from the taps

Room was on the small side but cosy. The bathroom had all the essential toiletries which was good and the bed although a small double was comfortable

You need to read an email from the hotel a couple of days before you go explaining that your room will not be serviced unless you specifically ask . Breakfast is fine ,but a bit disjointed and you might have to request items a few times during your meal.

Elegant lounges, dining room and garden area. Nicely decorated.

Fabulous special birthday trip in a property that suited everyone from 3 generations

    • Cozy Loft Room
    • Stayed 1 night

A lot of light came under the bedroom door and I had to use the extra pillows to block this or I couldn´t sleep. The walk in shower is only an overhead rainfall type with no hand held shower for those that want to avoid getting their hair wet. The bathwater is an interesting yellowish colour which I assume is due to old pipework in the old property but was a little off-putting.

Lovely public areas. The bar, lounge and restaurant, were beautifully decorated and felt comfortable, warm and welcoming even on a cold grey English spring day. Service was excellent throughout, although a little bell in the bar to attract attention might be handy.

Outside a little untidy for the type of image it was trying to portray. Difficult to see signage on arrival (drove past several times). Room clean but a little dusty at the edges. No milk for tea/coffee and no indication we could find, on how to get any, so bought milk in Co op opposite. Again for price point would have expected local or good quality biscuits etc in the room.

Location great. Beautiful house. Well styled. Good breakfast. Helpful staff (especially Eloise)

The room wasn’t serviced at all during the stay, which I found surprising for the cost of the room - bin not emptied or water replenished.

Lovely room overlooking the garden, with a comfortable bed. The breakfast was included and quite good.

The wasn’t any atmosphere in the hotel. It lack that feel good factor. The rooms were not refreshed during our stay so did not have any new bottled water or tea etc. the breakfast was ok but definable not over generous. It won’t take much to make this hotel a wow just a little more warmth with the customers

The overall hotel was good but lacked atmosphere. The car park and guest lounge and bar were large. Gardens were good but unfortunately we didn’t have the weather to use it. We were upgraded to a slightly bigger room.

There could have been a hose pipe or tap outside the hotel to hose down our dog.

We had a lovey stay at the Manor Sway, good breakfast which was included, not too big and not too small in portion size. It's a dog friendly hotel and Cocoa our working Cocker Spaniel was made very welcome. There were 4 dogs at breakfast on one of the mornings and they were all very well behaved. We sat in the dog friendly area which was more of a lounge setting with t couple of tables, but the rest of the tables were lower at sofa height. The dining room was not dog friendly but it didn't matter and I think it was good that there was an eating area where it was only for humans. All in all the hotel was well situated right, less than 5 mins to the national park and about 15 - 20 mins from Highcliffe beach. We had a really good stay!

I have no issue with not changing linens during stays but would have expected at least bins to be emptied each day.

Quality of food was very good, evening meal was very nicely cooked and more refined than expected. Breakfast was good, a slight improvement could be make with the ‘full’ English by adding baked beans & maybe hash browns etc.

Not necessarily negative, but just a caution: One should keep in mind that Sway is a tiny town with not much other dinner options.

We were upgraded to a very large room that was very comfortable and spacious. Breakfast/dinner room and other public areas were really nice. Dinner selection as well as breakfast options were very rich. Nice walking paths are easy to reach from the hotel.

Floor in the room was dusty and got our feet dirty. Mixer taps in the bathroom. No privacy voile curtain in the room, looked out onto the road.

Beautifully decorated, lovely little room and great bed! Breakfast was delicious (but extra charge for cappuccinos was unnecessary!)
