Location was amazing. Right on sea front and a short walk along sea front or behind hotel (for dog to run) into the main town. 2 gorgeous beaches just further out of town too.

Pillows a bit soft but personal preference.

Loved the inclusion of a fridge. Fantastic colour scheme. Loved the inclusion of drinks and biscuits/coffee. Easy to check in and check out.

It was a challenge with the stairs & no lift

Staff was there to greet us & help get luggage upstairs & back down when we left. The view was fabulous!! The hosts thought of everything!

Stunning room wth beautiful sea views from both room windows and bathrom windows - a loo with a view! Very spacious well equiped room and bathroom and really nice comfy seats at the main window complete with binnoculars. Communication from hosts regarding self check-in etc excellent.

The location was brilliant and the room was really lovely with great decor and furniture and some nice touches like sherry for sampling, a fridge with water, good selection of tea and even caramel wafers! Space to hang clothes and even a sea view when we hadn't expected one.

We loved it all. The only slight bit of feedback would be the mattress and pillows were not very comfortable.

The hotel was great. The room was lovely. The special touches in the room of the sherry, iron bru and chocolate really elevated the experience. The location was perfect!

Being very picky I would say the shower wasn’t as good as the rest of the room and the lack of staff (which was explained ahead of time and fine) does lower the atmosphere.

Nothing really the only downside to our mini break was the bad weather which certainly isn’t a reflection on the Barriemore or the owners and probably a hire car would have been useful as well.

Nice warm comfortable room. It was nicely decorated with a lovely hot shower. Every day the tea and coffee was replenished and nothing was too much from the owners. Will definitely recommend the Barriemore to friends and family.

We had a fantastic stay at The Barriemore. The hospitality and personal touches were excellent. Our dogs were made very welcome with beds, bowls and treats. There was also a lovely treat for the adults in a little decanter of Sherry. Perfect stay.

Fabulous hotel, perfectly located toward the end of the esplanade. Beautiful room, spacious, comfortable, clean, welcoming, absolutely incredible views of the bay and Kerrera island. The binoculars are a great addition and one soon gets used to policing the frequent boat and ferry traffic. Our room has separate areas so whether work or leisure there was ample space. Enormous bathroom, very well lit and a joy to use. Mark the host very pleasant and welcoming. No ‘old people’ or cooking smells and you would never know the hotel accepted our canine friends. The lovely touches of complimentary sherry, Irn Bru and tunnocks give you a warming Scottish welcome. A shared communal room has extra condiments should you need a top up of quality teas and coffee. Complimentary sweeties and fruits in the entrance hallway a lovely touch. A totally relaxing experience and we have already recommended the place to family and friends. Oban itself is a lovely, clean, tidy and welcoming place. Looking at the pristine water you would never guess this is one of the busiest ferry ports (to the isles) in the country. Wonderful

The building is beautiful, the room was clean and the views breath taking. They even left two bowls, a treat and a bed for our dog. The room is beautiful decorated and with plenty of detail. The owners were very nice and you could see the care and dedication they put into everything. For our next visit to Oban I won't hesitate to stay at the Barriemore Oban again.
