Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomWhen I originally booked it stated a full breakfast was included, upon check in was told it was continental only and could not upgrade. However, we had been "upgraded to a suite, at no extra cost". The room was extremely tired looking. It had been attempted to be patched up in areas which looked hilarious!! The lock on the door was loose, used towel in the middle of floor when entering the room, bedside lamps didn't work, television kept cutting out. In the bathroom a broken toilet roll holder, big dent in the bathroom door, dripping tap, one bath towel between two people, we asked for another only to be told they were waiting on laundry, which never arrived at all. miniscule amount of toiletries which would not be be sufficient enough to wash with. This room was apparently a suite which was a "free upgraded room" I worry to think what the room was like that we originally booked (Deluxe Room). The breakfast consisted of supermarket own brand brought yoghurt and pre packed croissants some cut up cucumber and cold boiled eggs, very disappointed. Photographs on website are very deceiving.
The location of the hotel was great, 10 minutes to central London for shopping on Oxford St etc or sight seeing. The bed and pillows in the apparent "free upgraded" room was comfortable.

United KingdomBrown stains on the duvet cover. The towel heater in the bedroom couldn't be turned off. Glad I realised or I would've burnt my hand. Also it ticks constantly so we had to shut both doors to the bathroom otherwise we would've heard it all night. The TV didn't work, we tried to plug in the aerial ourselves and there were bugs coming out of the plug socket.
The staff were helpful even though our room wasn't ready until half 3 even though it was advertised as 2pm. The bed was comfortable but there were brown stains on the white duvet cover.

United KingdomThe room itself was ok, but on arriving the room was cold and I could not get the heating to work, I then decided to shower however there was no hot water, I called down and they advised me to just run the taps, I run the taps for 30 minutes without any joy.

United KingdomA nice hotel in a great area near the tube, however it’s very dated and is in need of modernisation. Too many issues to mention, it just needs upgrading. Cracked floor tiles in the bathrooms also seemed like a danger hazard.
Friendly staff, clean and comfy beds.

SpainWe were in room 22 and the bed was absolutely awful, the shower was little more than a dribble. We asked for extra towels and pillows as there were only 2 small hand towels provided. There were 4 pillows on the bed but they were very poor quality. Another one each would've helped but they didn't have any. The chair in our room was almost broken (the legs were very loose). We asked them to fix it and they just ignored us. It broke completely 2 days later but I didn't bother to tell them seeing as they couldn't be bothered to fix/change it. This is the first time I've ever written a bad review on a hotel but this was a bit like Fawlty Towers...... at best! We heard other guests complaining about various things like aircon being stuck at 30° and there was very little reaction from the receptionist. We didn't see the point in complaining about anything to them in person because they were clearly disinterested.
The location is fantastic!!...... Warwick avenue tube station is right on the doorstep but that is pretty much all this hotel has got going for it, I'm afraid. The entrance lounge is quite pretty and a couple of the staff were nice....(Asal on reception and Youseff on the breakfast room). The breakfast was OK.

NetherlandsPlace was completely run down and outdated. Hot/ cold water of shower wasn’t adjustable, it was either piping hot or freezing cold. Only a few lights were working in our room and there was mold in the bathroom. Breakfast area was extremely limited options and not fresh, in addition the area wasn’t heated and it was literally 10 degrees there ( have photo).

United KingdomNot as advertised No bar no lift no cooked breakfast and the continental was awful Lift was not working I had a knee replacement 10 weeks ago and had to go up 3 flights of stair plus breakfast is one four down so had to go down four floor and up 4 floors just for breakfast. Bed uncomfortable. You gave us an upgrade and it said we should have a room with a balcony but we just had a window that leaked and the curtains and table were soaking wet. It also says plugs at bedside table that was not true. Half of the light bulbs were not working so we could not use one of the bedside lights no toilet lid . Shower did not work , having a bad knee I could not sit in the bath. Window both broken one the sash was broken so wouldn’t stay open the other the catch was broken so wouldn’t stay open. Foot stool was covered badly and hanging off was also dirty. Only one had towel and one very small bath towel for two peopleIn general very very disappointing every thing in the room was very old and worn out would never ever go there again would like to know if there is any way that I can get some compensation spoiled a very important weekend

United KingdomVery disappointed with this hotel. The bed divans were so old and disgustingly filthy (photographed and will be sending to the manager) - there was a wooden board used on top to support the mattress, which was in desperate need of replacing. Not clean or comfortable. The bathroom sink was blocked, no plug provided. None of the lamps in the bedroom worked. Staying on raised ground floor none of the windows were secure - you couldn’t lock them from the inside. Not ideal for a solo female traveler. Avoid this hotel.
