Although we had a super king size bed, the pillows were tiny and quite flat. Also disappointing was the quality of the toilet roll. It was only single ply and just didn't last. We wouldn't normally request that our room is serviced but as we had run out of toilet roll every day it was necessary so that it could be replenished. We decided to upgrade to this room and for the price we paid I would expect better.

The room was really lovely with a very comfortable bed. The chocolate, biscuits and coffee maker were a bonus. The staff were really friendly and efficient especially Keith who we saw at breakfast time.The food was excellent and the breakfast was amongst some of the best we've had. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Friendly staff, nice touch was fresh milk in room for Tea and coffee, all the tea and coffee was quality brands and very nice to see, room was large and had a full size bath excellent accommodation.

Parking onsite, large room (no 23), good bar & great breakfast. Arrived early but Mary on reception was still able to check us in. Mary was also happy to recommend pubs & restaurants around Helmsley (& pointed out a few of the special carvings in the bar). The Feathers is a great place to stay in Helmsley, thanks!

Its not a dislike but a mini fridge would be ideal to keep milk and water etc cold.

The friendliness of the staff, putting themselves out. Although small the room had everything you could need, from a coffee maker to an iron. Very comfortable bed too. The last day my husband had a cold shower, he didn't complain but just mentioned it. The lady on reception insisted on knocking something off our bill to compensate saying we are there to enjoy ourselves and a cold shower is not enjoying yourself. A fantastic attitude. Great customer care. A fantastic couple of days. Thank you.

Only that we didn't stay long enough!

We were warmly welcomed by the team and looked after very well throughout our 2 night stay. Every staff member was great but we would have taken the housekeeping team home if they'd let us as they were so lovely! The bedroom was beautiful and overlooked the square. The shower room en-suite was small and more dated than the bedroom but was functional and did not affect our view of the hotel. The food in the restaurant was tasty and plentiful with the best sticky toffee pudding I've ever had. The hotel very thoughtfully put a bottle of prosecco in our room for my husband's birthday which was a lovely gesture. A fabulous venue from which to go walking. I would thoroughly recommend it.

Lovely room, breakfast was good.We even had Netflix and Prime on the TV. Location perfect with some other nice bars and eating places round about. Staff very helpful.will definitely stay here again.

Better selection on the evening menu . There was a casino evening event which caused some noise disturbance on Saturday 25th November but that aside generally a good experience
